It's kind of weird watching the House go on for over an hour after the Senate blitzed through and rejected the objection. The vote could have been counted long ago.

The officer dying was giving me whiplash, because he was first reported dead, then was reported not dead, but then actually did die this evening.
The first report was premature, he was being kept on life support until the family could be there.
No, he was beaten over the head with a fire extinguisher and pulled into the crowd and beaten. He left after the ordeal was over and went back to his office, where he collapsed from internal injuries, and they were unable to save him.

Actually, I'm wondering if he had a conscience, considering reports of him being a war critic, and if his death is more than a little suspicious. I get how a macho culture could lead him to ignoring serious injuries, but it still strikes me as a little strange that didn't receive medical treatment. How do we know that off-duty, white supremacist, police weren't the ones who beat him?
There are a lot of questions about his death that need answering.
