[News] The USA Police State will never satisfy its lust for beating, gassing, and imprisoning minorities

As a child of the 80s, I unabashedly love Die Hard, and watched it with my son for the first time this year. That said, the fact that it ends with a redemption arc where a beat cop regains his ability to shoot people hits different these days.

The Prince William County Sheriff's Office "Human Interaction Specialist" Deputy Aaron Hoffman has some 'splainin to do. Thread.

I wonder how many of them are running to their cars to rip off the thin blue line bumper stickers.
Is it too much to hope those with thin blue flag stickers and paraphernalia will start becoming targets of MAGA/"Proud" Boy vandalism? You know, considering they're in violation of the US Flag Code in the first place. 'Course that doesn't seem to bother the "patriotic" people who use them as much as kneeling, which isn't a violation of the flag code in the first place.

A tiny glimmer of good news

Yep. And at the other end of NJ, Camden also had similar results with defund/reform. Just as a reminder for those not familiar, Camden was ranked America's Most Dangerous City for decades, and when it wasn't #1, it was always in the top 5 until that change.

I should also note for those not geographically familiar with both cities, Newark is right next to NYC, and Camden is right next to Philadelphia. These are not tiny towns insulated away from major cities, but rather they tend to overlap with them.

I'd love it if Disney/Marvel would just start plastering billboards with Frack explaining to the cops in the car *essentially* "I"m not your Hero. You're the reason I exist. You want a hero, Steve Rogers
