Former President Trump Thread

I mean if they do, then Biden's next steps should be obvious.
What you and I have thought is the obvious thing to do, and what he has a history of doing are different things, though. Based on history, he'd just condemn Presidents acting as dictators; words and nothing more.

What was it they always say about having pressers and breakout sessions until the very moment the boots are coming down the hall?

So Trump had a victory party for winning the NH primary. One of his canvassers who was there was thrown out of the party after posting a photo on social media. He streamed a video of himself as he was locked out.

Why was he kicked out?

The kid took a photo with Alina Habba, Trumps lawyer. Just a day earlier, Alina Habba had requested a delay to the Trump defamation lawsuit, telling the judge that her and her parents were sick with COVID. By posting the photo online the kid had unintentionally outed that Alina had lied to the judge.

It would be hilarious if it wasn't so damn sad.

*shrug* the 22nd amendment states: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice".
It says nothing about actually filing the post.
Either Trump was elected twice, and is thus ineligible to run again; or he lost and was a traitor trying to prevent the transfer of power.

Logic doesn't work.

We're in a post laws, post logic society. The one thing the Trump presidency showed us all is that this like laws or amendments are really just gentlemen's agreements that don't actually mean anything since no one in power will enforce them

I lost faith in the constitution ever since we decided the 2nd Amendment is here to stay.

This logic makes no sense. He would very clearly say “the people voted for me but it was stolen so it doesn’t count as being elected.”

Trump is suddenly apoplectic about people who lose elections but claim victory.

Isn't the GOP's current motto "It's Only Okay When I Do It!"

Look, I don't think she has a chance at winning, and I'd never vote for her away, but I want Haley to keep running just to be a thorn in his side. It's got to be an extra ego blow that a woman isn't backing down from him.

So, I forsee several scenarios playing out.

1) Trump enters full grift mode, sending out tons of emails begging his idiots suckers loyal followers to donate as much money as they can. Forgoing rent, meds, alimony, bail, child support, anything and everything to give him money to pay this off.

2) Declare bankruptcy and refuse to pay anything, claiming that all his debts are wiped out and anyone that tries to make him pay are part of the witch hunt. His idiots suckers loyal followers will declare this a genius move and once again indisputable proof that Trump is 10,000 moves ahead of everyone else.

3) Exclaim that Ms. Carroll defamed him way more, believe him. It's unreal the amount of defaming she did! All of the experts say that he should get so much money! But he doesn't care about it because he's already so rich! Very rich! He could buy a lot. Have you seen the boat Jeff Amazon bought? He could get one way bigger, no problem. It wouldn't even compare. He'd have the best yacht and everyone would be like wow! What a yacht! And he's good friends with Jeff, they talk all the time, beautiful talks, perfect talks, no one talks like him. Anyway, he won and he won by a lot and Nikki Haley should just concede the race already, why can't people accept when they've lost? She embarrassing herself by continuing on when it is so clear that she lost and lost by A LOT. Millions of votes...

4) All of the above

So today is the expected verdict in the fraud case. Which has some fun implications. Huge fines expected but also being forbidden from conducting business in New York.

Now for lardass to appeal this expected verdict and the Carrol one he needs to put up the money plus interest first.

Either as cash to the government, which they have the right to refuse given the amounts or by getting a bond issue.

Problem with the bond issue, is one it's essentially a loan that in good faith they know he will default on, but also the only firms that could issue a bond that large are based in New York. And he would be forbidden from using them.

Secondly as to the Carrol case, there are no grounds to appeal. fuckwads attorneys never established any grounds to file during trial, they only played to the audience at home but in court they just agreed to everything the judge ruled.

Fun days ahead.

Well why would a man who's so rich, unbelieveably rich, you can't imagine how rich he is, really Bezos and Zuckerberg, you know, you've got these people who look really rich but when you get down to it, stock, I mean, real estate is real - it says so in the name, right - they look at him and they say, wow, that guy's actually rich - this man - he's the best business man in the business, doesn't matter what business - university, food, housing, buildings, casinos, you name it, he's done it, and he was the best - why would such a man even need a bond company - it's not at all sensible - also, since you support this guy who is being prosecuted just for being a normal guy who's rich and standing up to the Big State - you know it's all lies right - he could use your donation to help show The Man that he's popular, because you know he's popular, but it's like, they like to show fake numbers - polls that don't mean anything - really, all these fake numbers, it's terrible what they're trying to do to him - so it's important to donate to show how many people support him - real Americans like you, not, you know what I mean, in California and New York - luckily some real Americans are standing up in Texas right now and have you seen how the media is reporting that - isn't it incredible - so donate, and be assured that you're sticking it to those Washington Demorats and the fake news liberals who want to replace you with - do you realize how many illegal people are coming in every day, it's thousands, and the numbers are still too low, it's all fake numbers they use to make it seem less but it's really - you go look at the border right now, it's terrible, so terrible. Please donate using this link, thank you. God Bless Trump.

Good lord it's tiresome trying to train-of-thought-talk like that when there's no thought to return to.

He was already scraping the bottom of the barrel when he hired her. He simply cannot go any lower. Maybe he can hire someone right out of law school who's dad owes him a favor?

Is Rudy still allowed to practice law there? Maybe can re-hire him then claim everything Rudy did is suddenly confidential or something

As far as I know Rudy is still suspended from practicing law. He's not suspended from being thrown under the bus of course though.

The Trump administration White House Medical Unit was providing all sorts of prescription medications to staffers who were ineligible for care. Morphine, Fentanyl, Ambien, Ketamine, and lots more.
His staff were a reflection of his voting base. High rates of drug addiction were indicative of Trump support in those counties.

I don't think anyone wants to risk him ruining their career. Or not getting paid, more likely.

Right? Like if you take him on as a client you're going to

A) end up in jail because you committed fraud on his behalf

B) not get paid

C) both A and B

But I think people keep trying to write in D) launch your way into the Conservative Talking Head industry. But has that worked for any of them at the end of the day? Giuliani was already kind of there. Everyone else got thrown under the bus and thus labeled as a liberal/commie/deep state plant
