What are you playing?

You had to see for yourself.
I did, yes. Had some help from the Internet, to get a set of portal coordinates near the center, otherwise having to make literally thousands of warp jumps was just too much.

At least I'll always have Optimus.

Guys, that Steven Universe game Save the Light that just came out is a pretty great little Paper Mario clone. It's exactly as charming as anything Steven Universe should be with the timing mechanics and aesthetics you'd expect from a Paper Mario game. It also has a perfectly Steven Universe mechanic called relationship where you build your relationship between party members by giving them kudos for executing perfectly timed attacks or defenses or for defeating an enemy that's targeting them and it allows you to perform fusions or combo abilities.

It's really good. I'm only a little bit into it, but I'm really digging it.

It actually came out last October and is a direct follow up to Steven Universe: Attack the Light, which is... basically the exact game, but for phones/tablets. Attack the Light is a much smaller game (you only get Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl as playable characters and Steven acts as support) but it's pretty fun for a mobile game.

Last weekend I gave another shot to Dungeon of the Endless. I'm liking it better than I did my first time around with it. I did a couple successful playthroughs, and streamed a successful 5-hour playthrough using the TF2 character team.

Well, it only came out on Steam 2 weeks ago.

Ooooh a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital? Bring on the bloaty head epidemics!
It's made by the old Bullfrog people, so I'm reaaaallllly hoping that this game does well enough for them to branch out to certain other old Bullfrog games.

I own Theme Hospital on Origin and I was playing with it last week in anticipation, until I got annoyed at DOSbox.

So I'm back into RimWorld, Empyrion is being reset so WAHOO!! and just today I got Sniper Elite 4 through the HUmble Monthly. Damn. I need another me.

I'm really enjoying Two Point Hospital, which is a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, made by the same guys. If you like management Sims, it's definitely worth checking out.

I'm trying to test the capabilities of my semi-gaming laptop by playing some games on it, but GTA5 just refuses to work. Specifically, Rockstar Social Club refuses to work. Can't log in, can't get a password reset email, nothing. I swear, it's a good thing Rockstar hasn't released anything since GTA5 because I simply would not buy or play anything else that requires me to use this piece of shit software.

So I played some DOOM instead. Still as much fun as ever.

As an aside, the capabilities of my semi-gaming laptop are... disappointing. I may just play stuff like Stardew Valley on it.

Megaman 11 demo is out on PC and Switch today, PS4 and Xb1 tomorrow.

I love it already. It handles well and I suck at it. It should not have taken Capcom so long, but I'm happy this exists. Hopefully I can get the full game when it's out. Might have to wait until November.

I'm gonna enjoy the photomode for this, though it is finicky.

Gameplay for Marvel's Spider-Man is pretty damn clean as well, though I'm not very far yet at all. Will talk more when I have played a bit further.

After hearing that it's basically just the Mr. Negative show for most of the game I kind of lost initial interest. He's about a 2/10 on my Spidey villains I give a crap about meter.

I'll give it a shot when I'm done with my open world funk. Playing Shadow of Mordor, Shadow of War and Horizon: Zero Dawn so close together has basically shut the door on my interest in open worldies.

I can see that. Open world burn out is real.

To be fair, I'm roughly 30% in so far and I've only just meet Martin Li as Martin Li, Mr. Negative hasn't even shown up yet and had the Demon's have just begun starting to show up as a threat. I did do a lot of side missions though, have been playing with the photo mode a lot and just generally been swinging around New York to the point that I've delayed much of the main story likely.

Gonna spoiler tag these cause there is so many but there are not actually any spoilers contained within, beyond some of the unlockable suits. More fun with photo mode.

World of Warships. My best friend is big time into it and he's gotten me hooked.

One of the crummy low tier ships I've got at the moment is a destroyer from the Royal Thai Navy called the Phra Ruang. Originally an R-class Destroyer in the British Navy, the HMS Radiant, but was sold in 1920 to Thailand and renamed. During WW2 it was used to fight the Japanese. It was fast, had 4 torpedo tubes, 3 101.6mm guns and 1 76.2mm gun, and served in the Thai Navy until 1957, then was used as a trainer until around 2000. It has since been moved ashore and encased in concrete as a shrine to Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, Prince of Chumphon, 28th child of King Chulalongkorn, and father of the Thai Navy. He personally had traveled to England to acquire the HMS Radiant.

I can't use the damn ship without getting "I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls in my head, because my stupid brain keeps going "And I Ruang, I Ruang so Phra Away..."

My son yesterday went and bought a PS4. So he could play the Spider-Man game.

You read that right. He bought the whole system so he could play a single game.

I bought a Switch just to play Breath of the Wild.

I probably would have bought a PS4 for God of War 4 had I already not owned one. Actually I bought a PS4 just so I could play the Witcher III (before I owned my uber PC). Seems perfectly reasonable to me ;)

I bought a Gamecube to play Metroid Prime. I've asserted multiple times over the years that if I had gotten ONLY that single game it would have been a well-worth-it purchase.

And then they released Metroid Prime 2 for it. And it would have been worth it AGAIN for that game.

There were a few other good GC games I owned (not a TON, but a few), but it still would have been worth it ONLY for MP1 or MP2.

I bought a SNES just to play Street Fighter II: Turbo.
Heck, I built my first PC* (for ~$2k!) just so I could finally run a zMUD-like client for DragonRealms.
