Gas Bandit's Political Thread V: The Vampire Likes Bats

There was a terrorist attack in my neck of the woods. Someone drove into a customs checkpoint at the border and their car exploded. Thankfully while the bombers died it sounds like the only other casualty was a customs officer with minor injuries.

This dude was in deputy director of the US State Department Office of Israel and Palestinian affairs.
Interesting that he's called an ex-Obama advisor when he also worked under the Clinton and Bush administrations.

Liz Truss has risen from her lettuce filled grave to opine on the forthcoming US Presidential Election. She thinks Americans need to elect a Republican (which means Trump) because the world needs a US President who is willing to "call out hostile regimes as evil and a threat.” Because we all remember the way Trump was unflinching in the way he stood up to spinelessly fawned over Putin the first go round .

Biden literally got in hot water recently for calling Xi a dictator, while the former was visiting our country no less. What the fuck is she talking about.

So recently this month at a school board meeting in Conroe, Texas, a woman stepped forward to tell a story about how choosing and reading a scholastic book when she was 11 lead her into porn addiction. Not only was it investigated she was homeschooled, but she works for a direct competitor for scholastic.

If the grift wasn't obvious enough, after her story one of the conservative board members specifically mentioned replacing scholastic with skytee book fairs.

By the way the horrible image that drove her down the rabbit hole of porn addiction? A boy and a girl kissing.

Them Baby-Sitters Club books are a gateway drug, I tell you what.

To be fair to George Santos, he is 100% right that the GOP removing him from office just because of crimes is super hypocritical and not a precedent they want to set.
It's because he only has like 23 indictments, those are rookie numbers. If he worked harder and got over 90 he might have been the GOP frontrunner for President.

I'm reminded of that quote in Eddie Murphy's The Distinguished Gentleman where a couple of politicians joke that you're not a real politician until your first indictment

I watched some of the Newson versus DeSantis debate, and seriously DeSantis was absolutely bodied. It felt like they needed to wheel out the corpse of his presidential dreams.

So of course I peek at Fox News to see how "DeSantis destroys Newson" Because they are absolutely allergic to pointing out the truth on anything.

My favorite quote of the night, "You are trying to out Trump Trump. How is that working for you? You are down 41 points in your own home state."

Reptilians do not have the equivalent of smiling in their culture. Once they don the skin suit to infiltrate our government, most of them never learn how to do it properly.

When DeSantis started making a name for himself, I read that he graduated from Harvard law and I remember thinking, "uh oh, a smart version of Trump?" Then a while later I saw video of him speaking in public, and since then I can only question how the hell he ever got elected in the first place.

He has negative charisma, and is bad at acting like a human, but please don't confuse that for not being intelligent. He's very smart, and this makes him far more dangerous. Hell, he used to be a navy lawyer at Gitmo helping to torture people (or at least finding new ways to keep them technically legal while they tortured)

I never questioned his intelligence, I am simply gobsmacked his negative charisma didn't prevent him from getting into office. You expect politicians to have a certain level of charm.

I keep seeing ads for The Daily Wire's new shitty movie, and it's been pissing me off. On the bright side, we get this review from Dead Domain on Youtube in which they watched and review this piece of garbage. Probably 1,000 times better than the movie itself.

It is absolutely bizarre to hear a video talking about hotel security that has to refer to guns as "pew-pew-no-nos" and drugs as "zippy-no-nos" because social media like TikTok restricts the use of the actual words, and if you're making a video for multiple platforms it's easiest to just censor for the lowest common denominator.

I saw a post on Tumblr calling it some 1984 newspeak level bullshit, and I find it hard to argue. Trying to restrict what people can speak about by changing their vocabulary.
