[NHL] Game of Thrones on Ice (aka the NHL Hockey Thread)

Dallas Eakins has been fired from Edmonton.

Yeah, like that will help.
Fire the coach for the team's defensive irresponsibility? what are they, the Leafs?

Also, sucks for anyone who put money on Carlyle being the first coach to get fired this season. Glad I didn't take that bet.

So that's 6 coaches in 7 years. Yeah it's clearly all the coaches fault. What a nightmare Edmonton is these days.

10-1-1 since we fell prey to Nashville. 6 in a row.

The road trip will be the real test though. Feels like other than the game in Detroit the other night the Leafs have been at home forever.

More more mumps in Pittsburgh. Beau Bennett confirmed. Marc-Andre Fleury, Robert Bortuzzo, and Olli Maatta being tested.

Strange thing happened today.

Viktor Stalberg of the Predators was placed on waivers yesterday. No one claimed him after 24 hours, so he was reassigned to Milwaukee of the AHL.

And, just like that, before he could even pack his stuff and head to BNA for the next flight north, the Preds put Paul Gaustad on IR - and recall Stalberg.

Tonight, the Nashville Predators are having a bobblehead giveaway - their captain, Shea Weber.

Their opponent... is the Philadelphia Flyers.

:D

Sabres lost to Edmonton last night to solidify last place in the league a bit. We have lost a franchise record 13 straight games. All of them in regulation.

Tanking it at full throttle for 1st choice.

Will laugh when lottery gives it to Edmonton again.

It's more we want to be guarenteed to get Eichel. McDavid would be great but we don't want to miss out on both of them.

I don't want the longest losing streak ever though which is looking very possible (4 games)
