You're welcome.
Actually find that show boring to be honest. Cannot relate to it in the least, the jokes just don't hit home with me at all.
I just got called a nerd hipster because I don't like Big Bang Theory.

Forum shark jumped.
Have you decided not to watch a show just because people tell you that you should, basing your opinion on that alone with no real experience watching it? Because if so, then yes, I was talking about you. If not, then yeah.....

Wow... a lot of you guys really seem to have a hate on for The Big Bang Theory.
Hate is a strong word. Overrated by people who are easily amused and uses a character that is excessively annoying that makes me rather watch Desperate Housewives New Jersey Remix edition is more along the lines of what I call it.

I'll be honest though, I'm quite the anti-bandwagon type of guy when it comes to watching TV.

Telling me something is good, is fine.

Telling me repeatedly by multiple people turns me off.

For example... Breaking Bad.

Never seen an episode.

Maybe I'll watch it once I'm done with CSI Vegas and Vegas Montecito in a few months.

Just stop... recommending me the damn show every goddamn week people.

I'd much rather have the show be done and be able to watch the 6+ seasons with an episode every night.

Good current sitcoms.

Parks and Recreation. Show started off as a shitty Office clone and ended up far surpassing it in terms of characters, likeability and outright funny.

That is true for a lot of sitcoms. I typed funniest Big Bang theory moments...I am glad I am not an avid watcher of this show. Also is Bazinga Shelldon's catch-phrase? Well I care not for it.

Update to the news of my pending poping of question to my lady.

Her parents have enthusiastically given me their blessing to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage and are now in on my nefarious plot. The ring became a small adventure. My lady works a strange work schedule and was supposed to be off work Monday, rather she was off Tuesday, the day the gnomes of Fedex brought the ring to my hovel. It was quite the exercise in misdirection, acrobatics, and the slaying of a grue to conceal the ring's arrival.

Maybe something akin to how in Babylon 5, any time anything had something to do with the Shadows, you heard the "technoscream" sound effect faintly in the background.

Gyehh... it's been years since I've watched/listened to that show and the mere mention of that effect still sets my teeth on edge.

Heh, the Season 4 closing credits music (which was the second half of the opening credits music for season 3) is my ringtone for people I work with.

I used to like it, but I honestly feel that it's run the "Who's the mom?" for too long. It's past time to have them meet and get into the early stupidity of relationships. Until that happens... not watching anymore.
Not Amazing. Not the best sitcom ever. But as the cheap 4 camera with laughtrack sitcoms go, this one was pretty okay. I consider it the new Friends. However, like Friends, it's gone on way too long and overstayed its welcome, the characters devolving into caricatures of themselves while the show gradually gets more and more into "will they won't they?" type drama. So glad Jason Segel realizes this and is leaving the show after this next season.
