Earlier in the week I ordered some fiber one bars off Amazon.

Later that day I apparently forgot I ordered them and ordered more (along with some other things).

Today, both shipments came.

I've got a LOT of Fiber One bars now.

Oh man, I love those Fiber One bars!

Just don't have one at same time someone gives you a 16 oz latte.

I'm just sayin'...
Me too! It's kind of ironic that I was clued into them by a guy calling himself "Mr. Regular."

He's named that because he does "Regular Car Reviews," not for the reason that has to do with fiber.

But he's trying to get Fiber One to sponsor his lemon rally car.

Just learned that one of my classmates from highschool is a professional crusty juggler. This is the missing link we've been searching for!

Hobo > Casino Neuroscientist > Crusty Juggler > Dentist > PhD in Economics/adviser to the minister of finance

You left out "President of the US"

Marilyn Manson injured when stage prop falls on him during concert.

I assume either he got caught up in the moment and randomly decided to climb bits of the stage, or him climbing it was always going to be part of the show and someone didn't securely fasten it down the way it was supposed to be.

Walgreen's just minor-annoyance'd themselves out of being my second choice pharmacy. Apparently they noticed we moved, so instead of contacting us in any way, they just deactivated my account "to protect my security." It's a good thing my credit union, credit card companies, insurance companies, and all of the vendors where I have accounts didn't deactivate my accounts. Oh, and the only way to reactivate my account is to call their help line and wait on hold forever. I think, instead of doing that, what I'll do is switch my primary pharmacy to our hometown pharmacy (whose hours are the same as Walgreens anyway), and avoid getting 500 spam emails a week about how my balance rewards points are going to expire any second now unless I leave my house immediately, drive like a madman to the nearest Walgreen's, and buy something.

That's interesting. I wonder what the process should be, because certainly a lot of people change addresses without notifying their pharmacist, and I suspect there are ways for people residing at someone's previous address to get medications filled based on the address.

Underling #2 has been let go as of this morning. Myself, the GM, and Underling #1 all agree it was the right move, though we don't have anything against former #2 personally... he just wasn't doing his job without being constantly ridden.

Fortunately, it's been decided the new promotions assistant we hired last week - yes, the one with the red hair - will become my new underling #2 to replace him.

I look forward to training her.

So her work uniform is going to include remote control vibrating panties, I assume.

Viewed from that perspective, I can see why they would deactivate an account - if they'd attempted to contact me and been unable to do so, but they have my cell phone number, my email address, and mail is being forwarded by the post office, and there were no attempts to contact me that I can discern. Also, straight up deactivation seems a little bit like they're trying to drive a finishing nail with a sledgehammer. I would've accepted "a hold has been placed on your account, please contact us," or "we've noticed some suspicious activity on your account," or "you seem to be logging in from a different location than normal, please choose a verification method from the list below." It's not like this is the only company I changed my address with - my credit card companies all prompted me to enter a code that they sent to the phone number on file, my credit union and utility providers emailed me that someone changed the address, a no-contact closure just seems... overdone.

I assume that someone noticed an address change on an account involving highly desireable meds and just figured it would be easier to beg forgiveness.

EDIT: oh hey, I should've just read further down.

Whataburger's October advertising push is all about their new chorizo burger and chorizo taquito!

BLEAGHK.

(The content of this post might make me a pariah in Texas, for daring to not love Whataburger unconditionally)

Combination whine and minor victory. Had a flat batter when I was trying to leave for work. Had to wait nearly three hours for AAA to show up for a jump. Battery was too weak to test, but the car started. There was barely enough juice to keep the car running, but definitely not up to getting on the interstate, so I pulled right into the AutoZone for a new one. That's where I learned the old battery was not two years old like I thought, but TWELVE.
