a Trump vs Clinton United States Presidential Election in 2016

Who do you vote into the office of USA President?

  • Total voters
    48
And some of you guys thought the PC police/feminists were coming for your free speech.
Oh pls, like the people saying that actually cared about free speech, and weren't just pissed off that someone was criticising them. Everyone loves censorship, as long as it's them doing it.

EDIT: Hell, ppl can't even take an online comment about it without feeling the need to label it as WRONG!!!

They also had restrictions. Trump has none because he doesn't give a shit and his base will allow him to do anything.
Oh cmon, if the last few weeks have shown anything is that Trump won't do even half the stuff he said he would, and he'll just work at making more money for the rich, like everyone else.

As for the base... that fact that that Hail Trump guy went on tv and said the nazi salutes where just "exuberance", while on internet shows he said it was just a "roman" salute the media is intentionally "misrepresenting", kind of shows even they know you can't get away with overt shit without most people turning on you.

Trump doesn't know what he's doing, which means he's going to say inflammatory shit 24/7 while being a puppet for anyone who pretends at loyalty. Which I find far more terrifying.
Exactly. He's a weak leader and the GOP is taking full advantage of that

Lawsplainer: Why Flag Burning Matters, And How It Relates To Crush Videos
I have a question about flag burning.
I deserve this. I earned this. I've . . . done things. I am forsaken and abhorred by God.
Oh stop being so dramatic. I just want to ask why I should care.
What?
Look, I get that the Supreme Court ruled — twice — that flag burning is expression protected by the First Amendment. But we argue about controversial speech all the time, and politicians advocate for punishing protected speech all the time. Why should we care when Donald Trump oafs around about flag burning? Isn't it just noise?
Because the flag burning "controversy" goes directly to the structure and methodology of free speech analysis.

I am just a good-and-relevant-Popehat-posts forum bot.

So...um, Trump probably should have had someone read him the constitution before bed.

And some of you guys thought the PC police/feminists were coming for your free speech.
Also, burning the American flag is what you're supposed to do with it once it gets too tatty to keep using it.

I like the lady that became internet famous for defending the flag from some kid walking on it. So to capitalize on her fame, she had some pictures taken of her rubbing her tits on the flag.

EIther Trump is the pandering-est of panderers or he was actually replaced by Kodos
I said it before: Trump only knows stream of consciousness. He knows no past, he knows no future, he knows no truth, he knows no falsehood. He thinks it, he says it. Anything else he or anyone else has ever said or will every say has no connection to where Trump's brain - and therefore his mouth - finds itself at any given point.

He needs a safe space. Certain speech is problematic. But those college-educated PC "special snowflakes" sure are whiny bastards, eh?

Wow, looks like Mitch McConnel actually does keep some balls in his pants somewhere

Kind of wish he had found them earlier, must have had them buried in that deep hole where he put his integrity.
Speaking of the deep hole in which McConnell buried his balls (and his integrity), Trump just made his wife Transportation Secretary :D

From that link:

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), asked about the tweet on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” had a more tepid response but affirmed that Americans’ right to burn the flag was “what the court upheld.”
“In my neck of the woods, people don't burn their flags, they actually honor their flags,” McCarthy said. “We have a First Amendment right, but where I come from, you honor the flag. If someone wanted to show their First Amendment right, I would be afraid for their own safety. But we'll protect our First Amendment.”
Afraid for their safety? It's like he can't stop himself from saying horrible things. "We'd still beat up those liberal commies, but we won't take away their rights"

Honestly it seems like he is picking these people at random. It's such a weird mix of wingnuts (bannon), hard right folks who blew their chances years ago be being racist or what have you (sessions), and establishment folks.

It's almost like he doesn't actually have a plan at all and is just picking his closest supporters and the people he is told to pick....

...I can't even imagine the media shitstorm that would ensue if someone in the process of burning a flag in protest killed a "patriot" in self-defense because the latter decided the former needed an ass-whuppin'.

Nobody else gets a little unnerved when somebody in a position of power named McCarthy starts saying some folks aren't patriotic enough?

If it goes on long enough, maybe we'll finally get the stimulant laws relaxed, cuz it sounds like he's gonna need 4 years' worth of Adderall.

No, it really doesn't. It's like when you show someone something that's a lie about Obama and they respond with, "Well, I wouldn't put it past him."

Same thing. It's fake.[DOUBLEPOST=1480464183,1480464160][/DOUBLEPOST]Or at least, it doesn't say anything about Trump.

I read a piece earlier today saying that a ton of the staff picks showing up are Koch loyalists. Considering his thin skin/ego and his relationships with the Koch brothers, that tells me that he really has no clue what he's doing and is just getting played up and down the street.

I kind of feel like this is the Republican version of a fire sale. "Get while the getting good". Here's hoping enough same republicans get in their while they can. And at this point the fact that I'm referring to Koch loyalists as "sane" is...telling.

Trump's pick for Secretary of the Treasure is former Goldman Sachs executive Stephen Mnuchin. Mnuchin also was an executive at OneWest Bank, which got into some trouble over harassing homeowners and attempting to chase them out of their homes during the foreclosure frenzy of 2009. OneWest was known for refusing to accept deals to allow couples to stay in their homes, harassed a man to his death then hounded his widow, 89-year old Irene Jones, and in Minnesota, changed the locks on Leslie Park's home, locking her out during a blizzard.

OneWest in particular foreclosed on the elderly (while they serve 17% of all reverse mortgages nationwide, they conducted more than 39% of all reverse mortgage foreclosures) and non-white communities. Of the nearly 36,000 foreclosures the bank conducted between 2009 and 2015, more than 68% were in areas where the population was 50% non-white or higher.

Fucking Carrier deal, turns out his big "negotiation" tactic was basically just paying them to stay through tax incentives. Seeing as his VP is still the governor there that wasn't hard to pull off.[DOUBLEPOST=1480544386,1480544281][/DOUBLEPOST]Aaaaannd newt Gingrich is calling for us to reopen the house committee on un-American activities.
