The biggest issue with a bra is that the style of the dress basically exposes all of the inner cleavage, so a bra would be pretty visible. I still need to think on it, but start it soon since it will be way more complex that anything else I have made.

If you go with a nude colored bra, it won't be as noticeable. And you could always cut the bra up and sew it into the dress itself.

Also also, if you're worried about making it from scratch, you could always buy a purple gown online and modify the neckline. Take away some of the stress.

My daughter is obsessed with Teen Titans Go! So we are doing Raven and Starfire.
That's adorable. <3

(I just added Starfire to my future list! But from the comic, not the show.)

Looking at references images, the tough part I see is...she just has the hood? Are you going to do a black wig underneath or go the classic purple route?

@Dei If it's heat resistant, you can take a straightener to it.

And if not, the hot water method should work just fine too. :D[DOUBLEPOST=1444057883,1444057606][/DOUBLEPOST]
What was the one thing you didn't make it to in Japan but wish you had?
I actually have no regrets about any of it. There was only two places that we intended to get to but didn't - the zoo and the SkyTree. But both of those were places Raye wanted to go and I had no feelings about them either way.

Which reminds me that I need to do a full Japan recap post or something. Complete with pics.

I have determined that having short short hair is going to be a blessing and a curse with a wig. I won't have to worry about my hair peaking through, but I won't really be able be able to pin it.

I mean, I would still wear a wig cap - it saves the wig from the oils of your hair and gives the pins something to attach to. Also also, a know a lot of people with short hair that use a texturizing spray since it kind of gunks up your hair, giving the bobby pins something to hold on to.

You literally range from adorably cute to supermodel dream girl beautiful depending on the makeup. I mean that in only the positive sense.

I'm not equipped to handle this.  I just do the best I can to be the best version of myself I can be. =^^=. I'm incredibly flattered I can be a chameleon.

I made the point on tumblr, but I'll ask you here - you realize that picture makes you look like a young, sexier Stevie Nicks, right?

Haha YESS! I did see that! Tumblr is just the worst when it comes to replying and such. I love Stevie Nicks, so I'm absolutely honored by the comparison. :)

How would you go about recreating this hair style?
I mean, if we're being realistic here, I'm not sure I could get my hair into that hairstyle perfectly. My hair is to long, frankly; I got no bangs to do the curls in the front!

But logistically (the style reminds me of 'Gibson' girls somewhat) so I would do something similar to this:

And then the hair left out in the front, I would curl it. :p

Is cosplaying a passionate hobby or are you able to earn $$? If no $$, are you looking to start some sort of biz? e.g. cosplay design and/or consulting?

Just a passionate hobby. :) It sort of feeds into my career, or the career I want though.

However, I make ZERO dollars from cosplaying. I actually lose money from it. But I love it an incredible amount and I try to be somewhat smart with it - I've never gone into debt for a costume, or used rent money or anything like that. Which I've seen some others do. :S

I'm not looking to start a business, but I do hope cosplaying can help bulk up my portfolio. I'm hoping to apply to some art schools soon - get a degree in illustration and fashion design. And then, career wise, I want to make the leap to the movie industry, designing/making costumes.

Illustration? So you are also an artist? Very cool. I did not know this about you.

Tried to come up with a Chad Sexington question but they were all too gross for 10:30 in the morning.

How much shock will it be when I change my profile picture? (I already know fade and patrthom will be pained.)

I am indeed! I do okay when I actually sit down and try, but more recently I just do little water color doodles.

I mean, what kind of gross? Also, we're in the same time zone...? Cause it's also 10:30 in the morning here. :D How exciting!

THE WORLD WILL CRUMBLE. Don't let fade and patrThom down. ;)
(I'm actually a fan of changing pics - as you can all probably tell, so I fully support that.)

I'm in Alberta. You have to pass through a few states to hit us, but I'm pretty much in a straight line north from you.

I, however, will be completely lost and bewildered, and treat you (Chad) like a new person if you change your avatar.

How often have you actually felt uncomfortable/creeped out/etc over something said to you on here? Compare-and-contrast, Facebook, DeviantArt, cons?
