[News] The USA Police State will never satisfy its lust for beating, gassing, and imprisoning minorities

I like to see this thread unabashedly supporting THE POLICE in taking private property away from those they're "protecting". They're clearly violating the 2nd Amendment of the toy Constitution.
Charlie, if course I support that! They are only taking it away from drug dealers.

Do you know how hard that is to say with a straight face?

Uh, Charlie, you do realise that Moncton is in Canada. And the RCMP stands for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Which means the 2nd amendment to the US Constitution isn't really relevant there.

Another unarmed young black man has been shot by police in Missouri.[DOUBLEPOST=1419403924,1419403838][/DOUBLEPOST]

I thought it was obvious I wasn't exactly serious when I referenced the toy Constitution

Uhh...the protections against unreasonable search and seizure are contained in the Fourth Amendment, not the Second.

I haven't seen it but reports are that the police officer opened fire only after Antonio Martin aimed a gun at him. If true this certainly sounds like justifiable self-defence.

To hell with a measured appraisal of events, we need to froth over what twitter says in the first 5 minutes after the story breaks!

Apparently there is surveillance video that is supposed to show Martin pointing a gun at police before being shot.

If he was armed and aiming a weapon at police, then that does sound like a justified use of lethal force.

We'll have to see how the facts shake out, though.

I'll it believe that when I see it, especially because showing that evidence to the public would have done a lot to stop the protesting.

I wonder how cost effective it would be to hire private security to "scab" as police officers for awhile. As much as I hate the likes of Blackwater/Xi and Pinkerton, the police going on strike it kind of like firemen going on strike: it's a vital public service and it's non-response simply lets the city burn. If Air Traffic controllers can't go on strike, why the fuck can police do it?

In a month, if the drop in arrests doesn't allow actual crime to run rampant (they seem to be focusing on non-violent crime and traffic violations), can we start letting excess police officers go?

I have a pretty low opinion of "the police", but a private police force is LITERALLY THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN WHAT WE HAVE NOW

A Department of Justice study revealed that a whopping 84 percent of police officers report that they’ve seen colleagues use excessive force on civilians, and 61 percent admit they don’t always report 'even serious criminal violations that involve abuse of authority by fellow officers. http://www.theamericanconservative.com/seven-reasons-police-brutality-is-systematic-not-anecdotal/

When good cops stand up for what is right, they are ostracized by other cops. Police Unions and their expensive lawyers keep bad cops on the streets. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics...nions-keep-abusive-cops-on-the-street/383258/

What all these incidents have in common is a lack of consequences for the officers involved combined with massive settlements paid for by taxpayers.
