The gay porn is your reason for not watching that? How about that the series shamefully rips off other series and passes it off as it's own! The nine-tailed fox in this series is name KURAMA for fucks sake! That name was used for a fox character in Yu Yu Hakusho, and while yes the series didn't invent the youko it was the first to have a character with that name and back-story. Naruto is nothing but Kurama in Goku's clothing.

Not even One Piece? Or Toriko? Or Gintama? Or Sket Dance? I know it's hard to believe but not all Shounen have protagonists that are angsty teenagers with dead parents. And before you say anything about One Piece, the main characters have proven to be able to deal with the loss of their loved ones in mature ways.

I like Naruto. The first story arc alone is better directed and contains more genuine emotion than the entire run of DBZ or YuYu Hakusho. I really hope people don't weight it down just for being popular. I sure don't. Multi-tailed demon animals are cultural things, they don't belong to either Naruto or YuYu Hakusho.

...I said that. I was saying that the SPECIFIC character in Naruto shares the exact name and strikingly similar origin to a character from Yu Yu Hakusho. The name Kurama was used for this type of monster in Yu Yu Hakusho first and not in any myth before it. There is a fine line between inspiration and ripping off and sweet STRAWBERRY Jesus did Kishi do that. Also I've heard the Hitachin clan is a bit too similar to a family from the "Hunter x Hunter" series, made by the same creator of Yu Yu Hakusho. He can say it's a tribute, but this series was and STILL isn't over.

Edit: You do still like Dragonball Z right? I mean...the male lead is clearly BASED on Son Goku.

Was death note shonen? I think I remember someone saying it was but I didn't care enough to keep track/remember. I liked death note.... well, the first season of it anyway.
