I think I'd enjoy such decompressed storytelling if it weren't so soon after a hiatus, and it came as a break from action.

This. I'm all in favor of comics taking time to show, not tell, and to have deeper more emotional moments. Not Goblins right after a break, though.

Well shit. Probably no coming back from that. I agree with everybody about the pacing of Goblins releases but I've really liked this arc.

Might just be due to me long ago giving up on a regular update schedule from Goblins.

Maybe they can take the damage. They ARE PCs now.
Maybe it's like that chasm Luke fell into in Cloud City, where it curves as you go down, and thus brakes you in a non-lethal manner.

Or maybe the bottom is bouncy. That seems like the kind of shit Thunt would pull.

In the last comic the monk is the only one to escape the falling spikes...by catching it out of the air.

Well hot damn, gas was right. They cloud city'd it.

Also yay the party is split and now there's going to be more split perspectives to follow.

Fuck me for wanting to support a site by not blocking the ads on it, right? I mean, I hope they aren't saying anything important in these panels on the right.

I think the statue will only slow down Kore, it won't be enough to kill or defeat him. I also think Kore's smart enough to recognize that the statue's being controlled by the guy wearing the helmet, and will target the operator rather than the statue. If I were the goblins, I would have Thaco wear the helmet to fight Kore, because the statue has no weapon and Thaco is the unarmed combat specialist in the party.

So... I got a bad feeling for Thaco.

They could distract Kore enough while the pilot gets some distance. As far as what to do with the golem I'd say just use it to pin Kore down and let the time run out so it sticks that way.

Thunt Ellipsis, the creator of Goblins, has announced that she is transgender.

I wish her well with her transition, and hope that her fandom will stick with the comic (and screw the so called "fans" who jump ship).

Ehhh, Thunt is one of those people where I'm not at all surprised. It was clear he was not comfortable in himself.
Having said that, certainly for a drawing artist like this, I really don't see why anyone should care if the comic is now drawn by Ellipsis. It's not like her drawing style is going to be completely different. It just means I get to make more bad jokes about women and time management when she's late or irregular in posting updates. :p
(I don't mean it'd be okay to dump, say, a writer over being trans. This is not a political forum, but I'm all in favor of anyone being who they feel they are. But, for example, a famous Belgian singer has announced her passing from Sarah to Sam. While that's most definitely his right, his voice is quite different from what hers was, and I can understand people saying they preferred one sound over the other. Separate from it being the same person, having a band change lead singer often has fans leaving or voicing a preference for one or the other)

I wish Ellipsis all the best in what will undoubtedly be a trying time, and I hope she will be able to leave behind the troubles of the past and enjoy a brighter future.

... why does that sound weirdly snarky?

Oh hell with it. You go Elli!

I don't care. I mean, I hope everything goes well, but really the only thing I care about is "will the comic be affected"? Other than that it has 0 effect on my life. You do you, Eli.
