Sorry, I have this bad habit of saying "Adult Swim" when I mean "Williams Street" but even then offshoot isn't the right word. I should have just said "sibling."
Was Williams Street running Toonami back in the 90's? I'm pretty sure it wasn't... they didn't get involved until they started airing comedy along with the action.

I had assumed they did since Moltar was the original Toonami host. Ghost Planet Industries and all that.
Looking at the Williams Street timeline, yeah, they were around by then. The started in 1994.

From what I understand, the "story" behind toonami's original premise is that Moltar sent out a probe to earth looking for Anime to relieve the boredom of having to work on Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and in my mind SGC2C was the first "Adult Swim" in everything but name. The Proto-[AS], as it were.
