[PC Game] World of Warcraft: Catch All Thread

I'm able to take down a pack of Virmin if I have NO cooldowns active, otherwise, I'm kinda screwed. This expansion is big on packs of mobs for some reason. There are swarms of wasps, packs of Virmin, packs of cats.

I'm not really seeing the MLP connection either, considering that's based on an already-existing creature in Asian lore: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qilin[DOUBLEPOST=1351033891][/DOUBLEPOST]As a Monk the peon-level pack mobs (the ones with different-shaped health bars) are easy for me, Crane Kick hits like a truck. For regular mobs during dailies and such I can take 3-4 depending on the mob and what cooldowns I use.

I'm also still not getting how people have said that levelling is slow. I'm only finishing up the 3rd zone (jade forest, Katelaekralndsfaefnalsefan forest, and Valley of the Four Winds finished) and I'm already almost to 90 on my shaman.

I think it depends on how much dungeon-ing you do. MoP dungeons slowed me down like crazy on the Monk while I leveled. I actually preferred quest leveling for this xpac as the zone storylines were interesting and a lot of fun to complete (plus a nice blue item when you complete one!).

When I'm tank spec I can pull 10+ mobs at a time. It's fantastic. When I'm DPS spec, I actually have to worry about silly things like dying.

My holy paladin used to be able to solo entire crowds of mobs. It would take forever and a day to kill thim, but he was pretty much immortal.

I found 85-86 and 89-90 incredibly slow. Maybe I'm just super impatient. Looking back, it didn't take me a ton of time.

Leveling my hunter in BC now and it feels like its taking forever.

BC wasn't too bad for me, I spent the whole time in the DPS random queue and really only did quests in HFP and Nagrand, plus like 4 in Netherstorm.

Yeah, when I cooldown pop, I obliterate everything that's ever lived. I don't know at what point they decided to make arms warriors so cooldown dependent but I have basically everything macro'd to my middle mouse button which I click every 20 seconds or so to be sure all my cooldowns are blazing. The only one I haven't macro'd is Recklessness since it has a 5 minute cooldown and I like to save it for execute spam time.

The packs of virmen are still the worst things I've faced. I'd rather fight a swarm of mantid by accident and have them all fight to the death than watch as virmen after virmen peel off me to go get more as I fight down a dozen of the little shits.

I seriously blazed through Cata content on my rogue in 6 hours tops over the weekend.
Meanwhile my hunter has been sitting at 82 forever because I log in, do one quest, get annoyed with hunters, and log off. ;)

I'm trying to get JC to 575 at least before I get too into leveling my Warlock, as I've gotten four meta patterns out of my Lotus chest now, including the agi/crit and dodge/shield block.

I spent a couple thousand gold to powerlevel JC out of Wrath territory so I can start prospecting the ghost iron ore. Made most of it back by auctioning gems. Once I get a couple of factions rep dailies done, I'll backtrack to finish it to 600. Same more or less for LW on my rogue. Monk will just do gathering to 90 so I can just quest my way through without excessive delay.

I feel your pain with BC content. It feels like I hit a brick wall. If you want, I can run you through some dungeons tonight to get you to 68.[DOUBLEPOST=1351086212][/DOUBLEPOST]And the guild just hit 16 last night! Next level we get instant mail between guild members.

Hit Exalted with the Tillers, then my son decided it was time to be born. Been taking care of the little guy with my wife so playtime is limited to running a few dailies for an hour. More time may open up later, but WoW is not really my priority at the moment, obviously. ;) '

While I take this time off I am trying to cull a few of my characters, trying to choose three "mains" I will level, and then try not to go nuts with the others.

Hitting Exalted with Tillers and Anglers is only the beginning  It's the Friendship reps that makes it a challenge.

Grats on the +1 though, having +3 myself I know all about time constraints on online gaming :aaah:

n looking forward to heirloom pants!

The music in the new patch is just ridiculously good. The new Darkmoon Faire Merry-Go-Round music is both comforting and creeps me the fuck out.

It's good, but they could have changed the opening minute and a half to be more Pandaria-ish. The first minute of the intro music has always reflected the expansion pretty well, using the same tune with much different tone. The first minute and a half is almost exactly the same as Cataclysm.

Ho shit, I was wrong about that. Ignore everything above, it takes the Cataclysm intro like 2 minutes to get into the familiar WoWish theme and it's completely different.

True true, that one doesn't really kick off for a few minutes.

Man, I forgot how good the Wrath of the Lich King intro was. Probably the best of all of them, in my opinion anyway. Wrath was my favorite expansion overall anyway though.

Mine too. Northrend and the storyarc of Arthas had the biggest impact, and was the most emotionally invested thanks to the War3/Frozen Throne

I can't say I enjoyed one xpac more than the other until Mists honestly.
Each one had it's issues and greatness:
BC had horrible pacing and bosses with no purpose all the way till Black Temple's release. From Black Temple to Sunwell was amazing
Wrath was a roller coaster. Great instances/raids. Then bad. Then great. Then bad. The long periods of nothing. Then a final instance that was too long/pointless bosses.
Cataclysm was just way too spread out storyline and zone wise. I didn't even raid in this xpac at all.
Mists is just amazing. I dunno what else to say. Classes/Races/Instances/Music/Raids. Everything just flows so well.

BC was great for Horde. To see Thrall make his way home and be a part of that story line, it was great. For the first time at least...

Storyline I'd have say I like them all equally for their own reasons:
BC: Thrall's homecoming and the meeting of Garrosh. The wrap-up to the Vashj/Kael/Illidan trio. A closure to the Sunwell storyline.
Wrath: The journey of Garrosh's growth to bloodthirsty leader. Saurfang's weariness of him. The return of Muradin Bronzebeard and of course the epic closure of Arthas.
Cataclysm: Deathwing's emergence and the eventual final battle with him was an epic long tale told over the entire expansion. It was epic and it ended as it began.
Mists: New lore, new stories, new characters, new land. It's fantasticlly told and from what I'm seeing, it's going to ramp up in a major way.
