Even though I took my time and spoke with the mods about it, the decision was mine. Like many of you, I like him. I think he has a lot to give to a community. I also think he chooses not to give much more than his very worst and save his best for times like yesterday.

In summation: I gave him a chance and he didn't take it. I feel like crap but I did the right thing. I'd do it again.

I'm still mega-super-annoyed that Dave ran on a platform of "Nothing's going to change, we're just at a new URL that has nothing to do with Kurtz" and now all we hear from him now is "CHAAAAANNGE!"

It's as if he thinks we'll be appeased by improved QoS, more organization, and less tastemakerness!

Except people are upset not because someone was rude, but because someone was banned. No one who complained about the forum being mean was banned.

I can't think of a better way to refer to the two groups, but there seems to be a fundamental disconnect from the "always be aware of everyone's feelings" crowd and the "fuck you, I'll say whatever I want" crowd.

Passive-aggressives vs Overt-aggressives would be better suited to me, since both sides can be douchebags.

They are upset about how the forum is run which was the heart of the issue the whole time. That is the issue.
