Former President Trump Thread

Is it insider trading, or some other financial law violation, if Dolt45 tries to make money off the effect of his tweets? What about telling others about the contents of his tweets before he makes them?

Congresscritters famously have more leeway when it comes to insider trading.
Combine that with being a career politician who knows how to sway the opinions of the famously gullible, and, well...

Goldman Sachs, for one, noted that “the actual amount of concrete progress made at this meeting appears to have been quite limited.” Morgan Stanley pointed out that Trump essentially “agreed to pause tariffs without any meaningful concessions on the toughest negotiating points.” And JPMorgan all but called the president a liar and a fraud, writing: “It doesn’t seem like anything was actually agreed to at the dinner and White House officials are contorting themselves into pretzels to reconcile Trump’s tweets (which seem if not completely fabricated then grossly exaggerated) with reality.”
Basically cheeto pumped the market with his tweets about a done deal, until reality showed up and said WTF?

And I apologize for offending any orange coloured doorknobs.

My guess is Flynn was holding out for a pardon but now that he realizes it's not coming he is giving Mueller everything he wants, but only if he gets a pass. It must be damn good info too for Mueller to accept it.

Honestly, if someone doesn't believe, I'd rather them not recite the creed.

There are even explanations as to why a Christian might not join in, as some groups reject the idea of creeds.

But in reality, Trump has tried to paint himself as a mainstream Protestant, and really is not.

I haven't been to church in a long time, but I'm pretty sure I could still recite that by rote if everyone started doing it.

If I could go back in time and do High School again, the one thing I would change is how I'd behave during the "moment of silent reflection" following the anthem. I'd have sat down and hurriedly finish my math homework, and told the teachers to fuck off (well, more politely than that) and I refuse to participate in their prayer substitute.

At a funeral, I'm happy to sit quietly through the religious stuff but I have grown to hate having it forced on me during school, perhaps especially because they made a point of making it inclusive to other religions.

(I'd have also joined the curling team)

And whomever is president then will take the blame. Just like Dolt45 is getting credit for the current economy.
Which is ludicrous for more than one reason - foremost in that the current economy isn't actually doing very well. The unemployment rate is a total fiction (if the calculations went by 2007 numbers, we'd still be at 9-10%, I think I've pointed that out before) and wall street's been whipsawing on a slow decline since October. I think the next recession is about to hit any time now.

And it's going to be SO much worse than last time; a lot of people decided to ride out the recession by getting an education to delay their entry into the market. Now we have a glut of highly educated people who can't do that again; they got loans to pay. So there are going to be people cutting each other's throat for a job now.

The yield curve went negative recently, and it has predicted every recession since the 60’s.

It's very typical of how things go. Republicans fuck up the economy and then democrats come in and fix it. But to fix it they have to make hard choices, which the republicans use to get elected again so they can pillage the country for their rich friends. Rinse. Repeat.

Giuliani now calling cheeto an idiot. Citing it took him three weeks to answer Muellers 19 questions.
Someone must have invaded his brain with such an anti-president remark. It’s probably Twitter and Obama’s fault.
