What are you playing?

I've been playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It's more of the old new Tomb Raider games and I like that. Also I liked that I found a reference to the Treasure of the LLanganatis. That is a legend I grew up with and I think there are still people looking for it.

Valkyria Chronicles 4: This series is never going to move past the first game's war. It's been seven years since Valkyria Chronicles 3, but we're still stuck in the same conflict that was resolved in the first game 10 years ago.

It can still be a good game and the story still compelling, but it's frustrating that apparently that war was over, and then I guess this planet exploded so there were no more stories to tell.

Man, I need to find someone willing to part with Spider-Man for less than highway robbery. I just can't blow 80 bucks on a new game.

I WON'T.

More Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I usually play games with audio in english but this game has an "Inmersion Mode" where the characters speak in their "native language". Any inmersion is lost on me when I hear people from a village in the middle of the Amazon speaking with a mexican accent.

The """""Rural European Spanish""""" accent in RE4 still bugs me to this day.

Spider-Man (PS4)

Welp, I broke down and get a PS4 PRo today. I TRIED hunting down the special edition Spider-Man PS4, but had zero luck. And Best Buy has a payment plan where I'll pay off the system for 6 months rather than all at once. I'm sorry, @GasBandit! I've rejoined the filthy casuals!

As for the game? I am absolutely loving it. Only got far enough to unlock the collectibles and side stuff, but I can't wait to see what all the game has to offer. Web-slinging is an absolute joy.

Years back I tried Canada's equivalents and they never had enough copies of games you would actually want. I only got things way down my list. Not sure who offers it up here anymore, red box stopped carrying games and then left the country about a year later.

It's not much different here. I expect I'll play Spider-man in December unless I get very lucky. Most likely when they receive Radiant Historia 3DS, I'll finally get to play God of War since that's no longer the big must-play PS4 game.

You can play with both, GB is just old and set in his ways. It's peasantry, not filthy casuals!
I have been engaging in peasantry lately just because the JRPGs I want to play are on console. I still would never play a multiplayer shooter on one though, that's madness.

Dei and I started playing co-op Stardew Valley last night. I am a hovel-dwelling itinerant farmer on her land who stays in the local pub's arcade until I pass out at night, whereupon I am "rescued" by the local homeless man, who brings me home, several hundred dollars lighter.
