WHOA WHOA WHOA. Did you guys just badmouth the Scout?!

I quit.
You're goddamned right I did. After living with those hateful things for over a decade, I'm entitled.

The first one nearly rusted itself to death just sitting in the driveway. A soft tap on the rear fender would send an avalanche of rust falling to the pavement. My dad had to threaten legal action to get the dealer to replace the bodywork.

You just described every car of that generation.

Maybe @blotsfan can relate, I think Colorado driving has made me soft, because driving around Buffalo the last week was making me fear for my life everytime I started the car. I-90 especially.

Why? It's been beautiful weather. The only thing that's awful about the 90 is the traffic (especially with the Bills game tonight I'm sure). Unless drivers are just more aggressive here in which case, I don't really know anything else.

Though I must admit I do love that my new place doesn't require driving on the highway for my commute.

Merging is a god damned death sport around here.

Does New Jersey also not have separate lanes for merging off of highways and merging onto them? I think thats the root of Dei's complaint.
So much yes. It's harder to deal with when you've been driving in the land of tentative mergers for 12+ years.

Usually, yeah, but not always.

The Grand Central Parkway (in NYC, for those not familiar) is like that, with no merge lanes. I hate having to drive on it for that reason. Not really shocked that when you Google it, the first things to come up are all the deadly crashes on it.

Know what I'd like to see? A GOOD movie adaptation of Dukes of Hazzard. It could be good. Give it a serious streak like the show, instead of making it (or Bo and Luke) stupid. They should be smart guys that stand out from the rest of the town, even if it street smarts. Instead of having Boss Hogg after the Duke land for oil (which doesn't even make much geological sense in Georgia), make him have a meth empire. With goons making the stuff on his farm and Roscoe in his pocket. And give Roscoe some competence. I mean, geez, even in the show, they often had external characters point out that Roscoe himself was a gifted driver--he just wasn't as good as Luke. And you know what? It's Georgia for crying out loud. There better be some black people in Hazzard, especially on the main cast.

I'm impressed by your idea, but I just don't think you can have an intelligent. Dukes of Hazzard. Not when most of their problems were solved by jumping the car or not using doorknobs, which is the opposite of intelligence. Or at least safe driving.

If I was black I think I'd work hard to avoid the people with the giant confederate flag painted on their car.
Also, this. Very much this.

Remove the flag, keep the awesome car, and make the Dukes black.

(Then listen to all the alt-right dipshits scream and wail on Twitter).

It's not going to be much of a show if the Dukes are constantly being pulled over every time they try to drive.

So the guy who I replaced at my work and was suppose to come back this week never showed up nor called in.
I'm putting this in this thread because, while it does greatly increase my chances of keeping this job, I hope the guy is okay considering the type of injury he sustained.

Yesterday, I spent all day in the car driving to a bunch of different locations. I mean roughly 20 hours of driving. Because my car only has a usb1 port, it can technically charge my phone but do slowly that when in use it just keeps the battery stable rather than have it go up. My battery phone was between 1 and 15 percent for almost the whole day. Tiny bit of tension, to be honest, I needed it as a GPS :D
