Let's all not starve (Don't Starve Together)

While the next episode is rendering, here's the best crockpot recipes, for reference:

Meatballs -
One morsel of any sort, three filler (including ice but not twigs). Also, monster meat and 3 filler works as well. Fills 62.5 hunger, 3 health and 5 sanity.

Meaty Stew -
Meat value of 3 (morsels/drumsticks count 0.5), any filler other than honey, twigs, moles, mandrakes or tallbird eggs.
For example, meat, monster meat, morsel, morsel would make the stew. Fills 150(!!) hunger, 12 health, 5 sanity.

Turkey Dinner -
two drumsticks, a meat filler and either a fruit or vegetable.
For example, two drumsticks, monster meat, berries. Or two drumsticks, morsel, carrot. Fills 75 hunger, 20 health, 5 sanity.

Trail mix -
A roasted birchnut, one unit of berries, one fruit based filler (another berries would work) and a twig. Doesn't really sate hunger (12.5), but restores 30 health. 5 sanity.

Dragon Pie -
If you get a dragonfruit from your farm (it's rare), cook it with 3 twigs. Restores 75 hunger, 40 health, 5 sanity.

Honey Ham -
Monster meat, 2 morsels and one honey. Restores 75 hunger, 30 health, 5 sanity.

There are lots more recipes, but these are the most convenient/efficient ones I found.
Important: Fish only count as a morsel. This is because Fish is INCREDIBLY easy to get if you have access to a pond.

If you have easy access to fish, and can grow corn, you have an even better recipe.

Fish Tacos:
Fish + popcorn + two sticks. Refills 20 hp, 37.5 hunger, and 5 sanity.

Fish sticks:
Fish + only one stick + two fillers (that aren't sticks). Refills 40 hp, 37.5 hunger, 5 sanity. Great for cheap healing. Don't add more than one stick though, or you get wet goop (unless your other filler is corn, in which case you get fish tacos).

Good to know, but it was more a warning to everyone else. I know I dumped a bit of that fish I got into the crockpot to try and make Meaty Stew and ended up with... nuggets, I think?

Those boomerangs are quite handy. Too bad you need silk for them and I'm pretty sure you get more morsels from fishing poles for the same silk.

Just lost my best Don't Starve single player game. After 63 days. Plenty of food (even with an icebox it was starting to spoil). 7 advanced farms, 15 berry bushes, lightning rod, all the science trimmings and even a tent, all surrounded by stone walls.

The fucking hounds got me anyway. Because stupid fucking birds were landing inside my enclosure, which motivated the hounds to keep at the walls until they broke in. I was hiding in my bush hat in the hopes they wouldn't have done exactly that... and the fire went out and my thermal stone cooled off and I started to freeze to death. So I had to try and fight.

Well, I got a couple of them before they ate me.

Hounds are fucking bullshit.

I even had two meatlure plants around outside my enclosure to fend off hounds, but during the winter those things close up shop and hibernate.

How many players do we have now? Can we have everyone play a unique character? Assuming everyone would be willing to, if two people both really want to play Wilson then so be it, but I think it's more interesting when everyone has their own distinct character.

That and I can't tell you lot apart in-game otherwise.

Shorts would make 7 if everybody in the first one comes back. The server can take 8. I call Wilson.

It won't be for a while though because I've only made it through half the footage from last time :p

I'm honestly thinking we might want to make multiple camps spread out in the world so we don't have 7 of us trying to use the same immediate space.

Next time, I think we might try Wilderness mode. We spawn scattered. We don't ressurect.

Oooh! Maybe turn PVP on! HALFORUMS HUNGER GAMES
