Minor victory thread

Holy shit, that was a hell of a show. The opening band was pretty bad and you couldn't understand a thing they said, but once Stiff Little Fingers took the stage it was all professional from there. Bad Religion was freaking amazing and I was on the edge of the Pit for the whole show. The Offspring looked at each other with looks of disbelief when they saw how crazy it got in there. Just a wild time. Left after The Offspring finished Smash (cause really, that's the best album they have). Home early enough to get 6 hours of sleep before work tomorrow.

Amazing show.

Yesterday: Free pizza in the break room
Today: Free ice cream in the break room

Some days this job is alright.
Dear Diary..
Yesterday: Somebody stole the pizza I was saving in the break room.
Today: Somebody stole the ice cream I was saving in the break room.

Some days this job is just awful.

Well, I feel like an idiot and a victor at the same time. I've been drawing comics since about 2005. The paper is always too big for the scanner, so I scan in parts, and then spend 15-30 minutes jiggling bits around to line them up. So, tonight for some reason I decided to google for a better way, and sure enough, Photoshop has a tool called "photomerge". I wonder why I never found it before...

Man, a few months ago my wife grabbed 4 of these on sale and and we still have 2 in the pantry. 1500 mg of sodium... for half the container? WTF

Did the Out of the Darkness walk this morning. Got to hang up the picture of my grandfather, write a note of encouragement, gathered a bunch of info, and I got two t-shirts. It was blazing hot. So much so that I had to stop walking and go into the shade for a while because I was so hot I felt like I had goosebumps (this after also drinking a litre of water over the course of 2 hours). Overall it was an inspiring event. I'll post a couple of pics later.

I am coaching a youth soccer team. After losing our first three games, we won the next four, got the middle draw in the playoff cup, and then went on to win five straight matches to win the overall cup. My voice is gone, but all 11 players on the team scored goals (including my son, youngest player in the league, woo!), and we somehow won the final game 8-3 even though the opposing team clearly had the two best players.

I think I saw this in a Disney movie, once.

Wait, your goalkeeper scored?

My neighbor coaches youth soccer, too. She rotates the players to different positions so everyone has a chance to score.
Keepers rotate every half (since it's a pain to swap out the jersey mid-action). Both players that play keeper are pretty athletic, so they can score on offense pretty easily, usually.

Also, photo of said youngest player in league...
Huh, didn't know that.
