AMA: The Kaggie Files

My beard is itchy and I want to trim it, but my girlfriend likes it: how long do I suffer the beard itching before I'm like, "Naw, this thing's about to be half this length and itch-free!"
Dandruff shampoo. On your beard. Leave it in while you shower the rest of you, same as your head.

Oh boy, he just started saying "Noooooo!" this last weekend. It was epic! He really didn't want that diaper change, and is starting to have an opinion about things. He's even got this cute little temper tantrum he throws where he gets down on the floor and carefully bumps his head on the floor, then wails, then pauses, careful bump, then wails again.

Terribly cute!

You mentioned in your cosplay thread that you don't do electronic/lighting stuff in your costumes. Is that merely a style thing, or you just want to keep Nate as far away from your hobby as possible?

D'aww, they grow up so fast!

Oh, I didn't mean that I don't WANT to do electronic stuff, I just meant that I personally have no experience doing it. I leave all electronic stuff up to Nate. I actually like him being involved in my cosplay life, we just don't play well with each other, so any props/electronic stuff that happens is just him - I will have not helped at all. And so far, I haven't had any costumes that needed lighting components - Hades is the first one.[DOUBLEPOST=1390323179,1390322657][/DOUBLEPOST]

And by this I mean we just do things so very differently that us working on projects together don't really go anywhere, we just go in circles. He's so analytical and plans out EVERYTHING down to the tiniest detail (he even almost always makes scale minitures before he makes something) and I'm so...whimsical, I just DO things, with very little planning. And so, how he does things, I get impatient. And how I do things, I waste product and I have a tendancy to waste time. Hee, yeah. :D

When you watched Frozen, which character did you most want to cosplay? Now that you've had time to stew on it, is it something you might actually pursue, or just a wild thought that may or may not happen in the future?

I, like every other cosplayer on this planet, would want to cosplay Elsa. She resonates very strongly with me. And my friend paid me the sweetest compliment and told me that as soon as she watched Frozen, she thought I would make the PERFECT Elsa. She's trying to convince me to cosplay her. Which is very sweet and gives me warm fuzzies.

But in reality, I am Sven. I've seen the movie twice with different friends each time, and at the same moment in the movie, each time, my friends leaned over to me and whispered, "You're Sven!" So, I'm most drawn to doing a Gijinka Sven or something like that. Haha, I'm so weird![DOUBLEPOST=1390325433,1390325351][/DOUBLEPOST]
Have you ever cosplayed as Carmen Sandiego, and if not, why?
Oh, I haven't, but I should! I love the color red and...I kind of have a thing about trenchcoats.

As long as you have ice laden willow strands in your antlers!

If you could hang out with any of the characters you've cosplayed, who would it be?
Oh man...I don't know! Link is the first one to come to mind. And I could ride Epona! (confession, when I was little, I would play Ocarina of Time just so I could get Epona. After that, I wouldn't play any more of the game and I would just ride her around Hyrule field.)

But my upcoming costumes...I would love to hang with Hades. He's hilarious and I'm sure all sorts of shenanigans would happen.

James Woods Hades?! He was pretty much the only thing I enjoyed in that movie (although some of the music was catchy).

I occasionally recite the, "I think you're forgetting one ever-so-tiny, teensy-weensy, little detail.... I OWN YOU!"

I'm feeling kind of down today. And for no reason. This should probably go in a different thread, Random Crap? I dunno. I kind of just can't bring myself to talk about myself most of the time.

Confess things to me, so I get to know you guys better! I want to know things!

Here's mine: I'm left-handed and I write in cursive. Does anyone else still write in cursive? Or just me?

I still write in cursive, but it's only for things like diary entries or stuff I just want to jot down on paper to un-stress.

Actually, that can be my confession! When I'm really pissed off, I write down everything I'm thinking/feeling, including stuff that I would never say out loud. Always in cursive. Then when I've calmed down, I rip up the paper and toss it. I don't know why this helps me, but it does.

I wish I could still write cursive. My handwriting looks like a drunken spider fell into an inkpot and staggered its way home across my page. I type everything to keep from horrifying people with my handwriting.

Here is a picture of sleeping doomweasels; hopefully it will make you smile.

I write in cursive terribly, so I typically do block letters.

Also terribly.

Google "full house without Michelle" if you've ever watched full house (TV series) and need a laugh.

I have hitchhikers thumbs, and can bend them backwards more than ninety degrees. People who see it appear uncomfortable, so I don't show it off often.

My handwriting has not improved since grade 3. I write by hand as little as possible, cursive OR print (though when I have to, it's usually print).

Also, don't be down, Kags, everybody likes you.
