We had a client named Pam Archer come in today. No one else seemed to know why I thought that was funny.

Just as a heads up/reminder for any Avatar the Last: Airbender fans out there. The Search, Part 1 is out now and is well worth your read. Now even if you weren't a huge fan of the last book The Promise (which I still enjoyed despite its flaws) this one is much more well done. The characters feel more natural to the established norms we have come to expect and the storyline is intriguing as well. So I heartily recommend that any fans of the show to go out and pick themselves up a copy of the book and give it a read.

Although for those of you who have read the book I would love to discuss your opinions on a few parts of the book.

Now I am personally torn on how I feel about Zuko not actually being Ozai's son since it wipes out a lot of the emotional turmoil and struggles that Zuko went through. But it would explain why Ozai didn't care for Zuko as much. But it seems almost to perfect of a setup and I have a hard time believing it. It seems to me more likely that Ozai and Azula are scheming to put doubt into Zuko's mind.

Anyone else find it weird that Rugrats had THREE feature length films? Sure one of them was a bad cross-over, but still THREE FILMS! American cartoon shows are lucky to get ONE feature length film, Rugrats got three! I liked the show and all, but the fact that a show that for cartoon standards had a pretty normal premise was popular enough to get THREE films is amazing to me.

And in the third one Bruce Willis played Spike! Nickelodeon shilled out Bruce Willis money for Rugrats!
When you get a star to just do a cartoon voice, you can get away with just paying them scale. Not saying Bruce didn't negotiate a premium, but voice-only usually means you can get stars for cheap.

One of the football players for the University here started following me on twitter and it's weird. Like...I don't know how he found me? Or why he's following me? The only sports I tweet about is my brothers podcast. Now I feel the need to tweet about sports so the poor guy has something to look at from me.

I don't think it's fair to assume that, simply because he plays college football, he has no interests outside of sports. There's a good chance he's a total geek and likes the same things you do. Sure, he could still be a thoughtless meathead, but there's no reason to pigeonhole him like that without further proof.

Very valid point.

But as for right now, I intend to do nothing. I rarely tweet and he rarely has time to do anything but football right now. (They're in spring training, which means a lot of team practice and gym time.) So, really, I shall do nothing.

My brother was very proud though, because he's ALL sorts of crazy for sports. :)

Get ready guys, I'm about to flip your world upside-down...

That's right, I've officially moved into my new place, and have updated my location from Toronto's Taint to Toronto's Armpit.

More specific please.
Was living in Malton, now living in South Etobicoke.

Actually for the last few months I was living in Rocesvalles, but I was just crashing at a friends' place. It wasn't actually my apartment.[DOUBLEPOST=1365123485]
I do wish my apartment faced East, at least. Looking South West, in Etobicoke is.... well..
[/DOUBLEPOST]
Yeah, I thought TO was the armpit.
I really have no idea why you hate Toronto so much. I'm very sorry for whatever wrong you perceive this city did to you.

Sorry. It's kinda boiled into my blood. I'm a Brewers fan. I have dual hatred for the Jays - you guys knocked us out of our last real AL title chance, and you also took one of our best players and won a title with him.

My wife pronounces "Pac-Man" with the emphasis on "Pac". It always makes me think of the Pac-Man family as Jewish. "Hey Herschel, are you going to the Pacman bar mitzvah?" Or "Have you seen how Rabbi Pacman performs a bris? Wakka wakka wakka wakka..."

True fact: I was reading this while typing the password for my laptop, which I entered as "wakkawakka". As it turns out, my password is not wakkawakka.

I used to get pissed off at Pac Sun for not having anything to do with Pac-man.

While were on the subject, whats everyone think of that Pac-man cartoon thats coming out on the Disney Channel?

There's a Pac-Man cartoon coming out on the Disney Channel? Seriously? What the hell would that cartoon even be about? I know there've been cartoons made from video games before, but usually the video games actually have plots, even if that plot is "rescue the princess from Bowser over and over because she's in another castle." This sounds like doing a cartoon version of Asteroids or Space Invaders. What the hell is Disney thinking?! They shut down LucasArts and give us a cartoon version of Pac-Man?!

If it was one of the Star Trek Fan Club people, you'd assume he's a nerd following you because he doesn't dare approach you. Because it's a jock you feel the need to change what you're talking about so that he'll be interested?
Double standards ho!
I'd just assume he saw/met you through friends/class/whatever, is interested in you (as friends, as a smart person he wants to hear more from, or whatever), but doesn't have the courage to come to you and chat you up?

For the record, I'm not trying to be mean or insulting towards you, as I absolutely understand what you're saying. It's still a society-wide difference of how we apprach people based on perceived class and interest, though.
