So ...I was wondering.....

Why is it when you drink a hole shit load and only sleep a tiny bit that you wake up still Drunk? How do you make it stop? Or do you just sit around and enjoy the ride?

Really was just curious !

It has nothing to do with how much you sleep. It has to do with the amount of alcohol in your blood. If you drink enough you could probably sleep 8 hours and still be drunk...but I wouldn't recommend it.

What can you do about it? Not much, really. There are a few home remedies but the scientific veracity of their effectiveness is unproven. My advice would be to make yourself a bloody mary and drink it down. It's well known that a little hair of the dog can make you feel better.

Just don't drive.

Lol........It's over I ate eggs lol ! I wouldn't say I feel Fabulous but I may be able to workout after a small nap so I'm doing pretty good.....Don't worry I'm not driving anywhere for awhile hehe :)

Speaking from experience I will tell you that it is totally possible to drink enough and still be drunk after 8, even 10 hours of sleep. I would not recommend it either.

It's well known to make you feel better in the short term but it's complicating the over all issue since you are merely inserting more alcohol into your blood stream and therefore it is going to require a longer period of time to actually sober up. Hair of the dog is fine advise as long as you just need to feel a little better, not if you actually have anything you need to be doing that requires soberity.

Instead I forced myself up to the shower. Drank 2 cups of coffee and 4 glasses of water and attempted to do a small light workout routine....I'm a lil uneasy but feeling much better. I'm groggy but finally waking up. I'm off to spend time in the fresh air considering its actually nice outside today I think that may help.
 
The alcohol conundrum- The reason why you can sleep for many hours and still be drunk is because of the blood alcohol level. Gatorade helps with hangovers because it helps replenish fluids to your system. I have a friend who has a drunk kit at home, which involves an iv drip that replenishes fluids at a rapid rate. It's funny to see someone super drunk, and then all of a sudden very cognizant.
