This was pretty much my reaction, too.

I mean, duh. Even as a kid I always thought Lucy Lawless (I called her Xena then) should play Wonder Woman. The more I've learned about the actual story behind Wonder Woman, the more it becomes extremely apparent that Xena took a lot from Wonder Woman.

What's more, we've all seen Wonder Woman wear this armour, or similar armour, before. Just usually more colourful. AND, we already know Batman has at least two outfits in this movie, so why not Wonder Woman?

Also for everyone critiquing Gal Gadot's size, it looks to me like she has packed on a good bit of muscle. Here'es a "Before" pic:

I know it's risky territory, but I don't think that's the right physique for WW. She-Hulk, maybe, but WW is supposed to be unequivocally feminine in proportions.

Even the Bruce Timm WW wasn't as invertedly triangular in the cartoon as this woman is in real life. I mean, sure the MALE characters were...

But the female characters are still much more isoceles than equilateral in shape.
I know I posted this picture already in another thread*, but when I think "Amazon Princess" I think of someone who looks more like this:

*As a candidate for a crossplay of Bane.

I'll be completely honest. I'd LOVE for this movie to be great, or even good. I don't think it will be, but I also hope I'm dead wrong.

Considering where their waists are (apparently) located, I wonder, but the shoulder-to-hand length suggests it's not all due to heels.
Looks to me like she's standing on a box. As you noticed, her waist is 6 inches higher than both the guys'. Maybe somebody realized she needed to look taller to avoid exactly the kind of comments I've been making.

It's going to hurt having to wait until June 23, 2017 for Untitled DC Film, but that'll make it all the sweeter when we finally get to bask in the glory of Untitled DC Film in March of 2018!

I've always wanted to see Untitled on the big screen! This is gonna be AWESOME!

Some of those films only have a gap of two or three months between them. Not even Marvel had that ambitious a release schedule.

Seriously, DC's going for the "saturate the market so no one will ever watch a comic book movie again" strategy.

Those are heavily rumoured to be the new Harry Potter films based on Wonderous Beasts that JKR is helping to write the scripts for.

Also March 25 2016 is Easter weekend, do people go to movies on Easter?

I do!

... I'm also an atheist, so take that for what you will.

Marvel has answered both DC and Sony in one BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Squirrel Girl to open against Batman vs Superman

The pre-SDCC stuff made it look like Ant-Man would be an august release, following Avengers in May. I think they could make it happen.

It'll take two to really accomplish that. Someone on r/movies did the work for us:
  • 05/01/15 Avengers: Age of Ultron
  • 07/17/15 Ant-Man
  • 03/25/16 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • 05/06/16 Captain America 3
  • 07/08/16 Untitled Marvel Film (Doctor Strange?)
  • 08/05/16 Untitled DC Film
  • 05/05/17 Untitled Marvel Film
  • 06/23/17 Untitled DC Film
  • 07/28/17 Guardians of the Galaxy 2
  • 11/03/17 Untitled Marvel Film
  • 11/17/17 Untitled DC Film
  • 03/23/18 Untitled DC Film
  • 05/04/18 Untitled Marvel Film
  • 07/06/18 Untitled Marvel Film
  • 07/27/18 Untitled DC Film
  • 11/02/18 Untitled Marvel Film
  • 11/16/18 Untitled WB Event Film
  • 04/05/19 Untitled DC Film
  • 05/03/19 Untitled Marvel Film
  • 06/14/19 Untitled DC Film
  • 04/03/20 Untitled DC Film
  • 06/19/20 Untitled DC Film
  • 11/20/20 Untitled WB Event Film
As others have pointed out though, some of those WB movies are rumoured to be Harry Potter spinoffs.

So, now that Guardians of the Galaxy is a hit, what will WB want to do to capitalize on it? Because Guardians can survive even if there's an oversaturation of the superhero stuff. Will they cobble together a really crappy space opera comedy or will they try to make the New Gods?
