New Picture Thread

At some point someone posted a picture of George Orwell plaza with surveillance cameras, and one of the tasty tasty Presumably Ham chips (probably in the Funny Pictures thread).

(No surveillance cameras or signs about them that we could see, there must be someone internet-savvy in local government.)

(They taste just as I remember them: salt, salt, fake ham, and salt. Great when drunk.)

Apparently there’s a Pixar exhibit at The Henry Ford Museum. Neat stuff. Pictures are featuring children numbers 8 and 6.

The exhibit was all computer driven interaction workstations besides these models. They really did an exceptional job putting it all together.

I don’t know where to find out what Museum it will be at next, but it’s worth looking into if you’re a Pixar fan or want to see (or your kids see) how modern animation is done. Rigging, lighting, meshes, rendering pipeline, all with examples from the movies, and real world exhibits demonstrating the concepts. For instance, placing a “wrapper” on a 3D model to change it’s appearance.

Or physicallly modeling a 3D scene and adding lighting to determine design and lighting decisions before committing to a 3D model.

Anyway, pretty nifty stuff.

Were you just in the audience? Did you pull an anchorman?
Actually the guy with the drum in the background was in the audience. Someone let him bang on their bodhran. I was at the end of the musician table (they don't have a stage). The pic which shows that isn't quite as flattering ;)

A couple of folks had gone up to the bar...we had about 11 musicians all told.
