Did anyone else get mixed messages from the last episode? I know it was supposed to be "Remember who your friends REALLY are" but the way it worked out, it felt more like "You should lie more often. Your friends are too nice to call you on it and everything will work out fine!"

Finally watched it, and yes, the episode did seem a little messed-up like that.
Plus, she had to lie about who her friends are? Really? The six ponies who are the emodiment of the elements of harmony, who saved the entire world... TWICE! Those country bumpkins just aren't impressive to anyone?

Having recently watched season 2, episode 9, I've come to the conclusion that my unicorn overlord theory is correct, since in the wealthy city of Canterlot, who live with the pony goddess and look down on all others of Equestria, every one of them is a fucking unicorn.

I suspect that's the deal with Canterlot: Yes, the world at large is integrated and no one would say a word about seeing a Pegasi or Earth pony in Canterlot (after all, the Wonderbolts were invited to the gala), but that doesn't mean that all of those original families just up and left. Your still going to have a large concentration of whatever breed originally settled the area and they are likely to dominate high society in that area.

Watching the latest episode, it's clear why Unicorns look down on Earth Ponies and Pegasai... those filthy ponies have to change diapers with their mouths. *shudder*
I'm pretty sure unicorns look down on them because unicorns are haughty dicks.
