A lot of us own both, and could probably be very easily swayed into doing a playthrough with you, myself included.

Hell yeah, dude. The day I can't spare $10 for a friend is the day my wife knows how much money is in the bank. Or something like that.

I felt like if I was going to play Borderlands, I might as well play WoW instead. You know, back when I still played WoW. It had the same quest hubby feel.

I just realized that I don't have Borderlands. I have 2 and the Pre-Sequel, but not the first one. So I bought it. :)

I will say, 2 was better than 1 (it made a lot of quality of life improvements) but I still think it is important to play 1 first for plot reasons.

Borderlands 2 was the last game I played with Pauline. We were in the middle of the Torgue DLC when she finally got too sick to play anymore.

I played through BL1 solo. I agree that it was a mediocre experience single-player. I can also see how it would've been improved by playing with someone else.

I think Borderlands is the only series Gearbox has that's in any way successful. Battleborn was trounced by Overwatch, Aliens: Colonial Marines flopped hard, Duke Nukem Forever wasn't worth the wait...

Unless it's We Happy Few? That one's coming out soon, right? Are Gearbox just publishing it or are they contributing to its development too?

They're also having a sale on some great RPGs.

    Torchlight $3.74

    Titan Quest AE $4.99

    and some others.

Also, free torchlight I and II if you own them through the website of the publisher, or through humble bundle, through different links. Basically, no matter how or where you own them, you can get a backup through gog now.

[Narration] That was the last time anyone heard from the Gas Bandit. Some say he still roams the lands, doing Witcher contracts, and boffing witches.

Just to confirm, playing the first two is not necessary, right?

Hand of Fate is really cool and pretty replayable. Armello is decent enough as well. Don't have much experience with the others.

Steam's been trying REAL HARD to get me to buy Hurtworld for the last year or so, but the gameplay looks just a skosh too low rent/asset flipper/"Generic store/value-brand Rust" to me...

Civ 3 was really good. I enjoyed it back in the day. Some of the visuals will look dated today (GIVE ME MORE SWORDS YOUR EXCELLENCY THAT I MAY SHEATH THEM IN THE BEATING HEARTS OF YOUR ENEMIES!), but it'll probably always be my favorite.
