The 2022 is a full sized handgun, 12 round double stack magazine. I wouldn't want to fire, on a regular basis, the higher calibers that have a short grip (40, 357, 45) too much torque during recoil. 9mm is okay, to me, with the short grip, and my personal carry is a 4 shot folding .22 that looks a lot like a knife when clipped into a pocket.
I carry a Taurus 24/7 pro in .40
