Ask me anything and I will answer in a very bad english.

After the earthquake, the members of this forums were worried about my well being and I realized that you probably don't know much about me. So, if you wan't to know something about me, this is your chance.

Are you working in the field you studied?
Girlfriend, wife, kids?
Favorite dish or meal?
Are you happy with your government?
when was the last time you were really angry, and was the cause something due to another person, random circumstances, or something else?
Do you enjoy camping or the outdoors?

Yes I am. I develop software for the city. Taxes and property registry mostly.
I am married. Veronica is her name and the only person I love more than her is my daughter Gabriela.
Lasagna. I can't get enough of it.
I'm indiferent towards any goverment.
People almost always are the cause of my anger. I consider myself a misanthrope. But lately some people are making me reconsider that.
I like being indoors.[DOUBLEPOST=1461978717,1461978666][/DOUBLEPOST]
You ever go to eat a pork sausage, and find it's got hairs growin' all over it?
There is a dish here called "chicharron". They serve the skin of the pork sometimes with hair growing all over it. I don't like it.

Funny how this place sometimes does that, isn't it.

Chicharron is gross. My mother-in-law, who is from Mexico, tried to get me to eat them at a party. The smell was bad enough that I didn't want to be near the bowl.

Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?

...I'm sorry, I thought you said "ask me anything in very bad English"

Have you ever been to the US? Is there a (US or otherwise) city that you really want to visit? Why?

Well, I don't like to travel, because I get lost easyly (I have no sense of direction). But I would like to take my family to Disney World. My brother went there and Gabriela has been asking me to take her there also.

How is Gabriela handling everything? I know kids get scared and after what you've been through and seen, I'D be scared and I'm not a kid.

The night of the earthquake, Veronica and I were at the movies. Gabriela was with her grandparents and they live in a very old apartment building. Of course we were extremely worried about them. After almost running all the way there, we found them outside the building and while I hugged Gabriela I noticed how she was trembling, but she wasn't crying. She was very worried about our cat. She was afraid that the cat might be trapped under something. After that she seems to be very calm, even after all the aftershocks. Of course she is sleeping with her grandparents, aunts and cousins in our living room. I'm kinda worried because she said that she is never going to sleep in her room again.

Why "Cog"?
Why Halforums?
Why mostly lurk?
Apples, or oranges?
What's your greatest regret?
What's your greatest achievement (other than "successfully participating in a project to create new life in the form of this cute little girl")?
Were you born in the area where you live now? Ever lived elsewhere? If so, where did you like it most; if not, would you ever consider moving to somewhere else, and if so, for what reason?

On my first pc (pc were sold here with lots and lots of pirated software) there was a game of tetris. When you got a high score you could put your name. One of the names in this list was "The cognositive". I liked that name and used cognositivo as the name for anything you can put your name on online since then. This was the first english speaking comunity I signed in, and for some reason I didn't want to use the full name and only used cog.
I found you thanks to pvp. You are a very entertaining group.
Most of the time I don't feel I have a lot of contribute to the conversation. Also, I still feel somewhat ridiculous every time I try to express something in english.
Oranges definitly
I was (and maybe still am) very, very, VERY shy. I was afraid to deal with anything unknown. But I was always a very good student and I had a few oportunities to study in other bigger cities and even other countries, but I was afraid to do it.
I can't think of anything that I could call my "greatest achievement". I'm proud of my work and I feel that I help to make this city a better place with it.
I was born here. I like that this is a small city and that I don't have to spend hours of my life everyday just trying to get to one place to another. But I sometimes I wish I live in a bigger place, like Quito, our capital. There's literally nothing to do for someone nerdy like me here. If you want to have "fun" here you can only go to a bar o to a disco. I want to meet people with the same interests as me.

I can't tell, you could be a native speaker for all I know.

What are your favorite books?
If you could visit one person who died prior to your birth, who would you visit, and what would you discuss?

You are lucky you haven't heard me talk in english. I've only had one conversation in english and it was painful. It's weird how I know immediately the meaning of a sentence in english but I can't think of the english translation for what I'm trying to say any given time.

Discworld books are my favorites. It's very rare for me to read a book more than once because there are so many new things to read that I feel it's a waste of time to read something that I already read. Discworld books are the exception.

Maybe I would like to speak to my grandfathers. They died after I was born but I was very young then. I would like to know about my family, where we came from, why my hair is grey and if its true that the Langes came to South America because they were nazis.

If someone were to travel to Ecuador on vacation what would you tell them they had to go see, food they should try, cultural event they shouldn't miss, etc?

What do you like? Ecuador has 4 regions:

  1. The insular region. These are the word famous Galapagos Islands. If you like nature and rare animals, this is the place you want. The bad thing is that this is a very expensive place. It's cheaper for me go to the caribean than go to Galapagos.
  2. The coast. This is where I live. Lots and lots of beaches and very good food. You should try the ecuatorian ceviche, viche, encebollado and the classic "arroz con menestra y carne"
  3. The sierra. Everything cultural is here, museums, theatres. Also you can visit forests and climb volcanoes
  4. The amazonic region. The amazon forest is here. If you like adventure and very exotic food this is you place.

Is it really dark near where you live? Are you able to see a lot of stars?
It was dark when I was a kid. I used to see lots of star. Sadly not anymore. But if there is a blackout, the first thing I do is going outside and see the stars.[DOUBLEPOST=1462233586,1462233458][/DOUBLEPOST]
When I looked up this dish, it had popcorn sprinkled on the top. Is that how you'd eat it?
Popcorn? Haven't heard of that before. You eat encebollado with chifle.

This is the page with a recipe. It was the only one I saw that had popcorn.

I guess it has variations in all south america. I would never put porncorn in my encebollado.

I forgot to recommend one local dish, my favorite between local food, seco de gallina.

My mom visited Ecuador and Peru a few years ago. She later adopted a kitten and named him Quito.

I don't actually have a question.
