When I play Word With Friends with my dad, I will use dirty words, because I know he will also use dirty words. I will never ever ever use dirty words with my mother even if it would net me hundreds of points.

Lol my daughter asked me about Elvis and the topic turned to his death.

Too weeks later school began drug awareness week lol

Had a wedding party today. Dear lord. I mean, I had a good time, but....Dear DJ, it's not because the bride's Romanian that half the music has to be Romanian traditional folklore music. The only people who enjoyed that were the grandparents. Sheesh.

Ya know what would take a FUCK long time to figure out? Whether western comics, or Japanese manga rely more on tropes. It'd take EONS to figure out I'd say.

Just read this goofy-ass story on Facebook. Is this really how anyone speaks to their children? Someone with a stressful job overreacted and did something shitty, and therefore, "all she knows" is anger and frustration? So we're going to make cookies while talking about what an unhappy person she is and then "humbly" present them? I get that it can pay off in a big way to return anger with kindness, but this gushy, saccharine delivery just turns my stomach.

"When your daughter gets off the bus, embarrassed and in tears... As a mother, it is considered "normal" for me to want to protect her and come to her defense. Although, I am a woman who is led by the Holy Spirit, and peace, love and grace is what invades my heart.
Lexi (who is 14 years old) explained to me how the bus driver stopped the bus in the middle of her route and yelled at her for ten minutes in front of all the kids because she was sitting on her knees and braiding her friends hair. (Apparently, sitting on her knees is what infuriated the bus driver.)
The angry woman kept tearing Lexi down with words and her delivery was completely uncalled for.
After Lexi calmed down and we talked it through, I asked my daughter a question:
"Lexi, want to do something radical?"
"Sure!" Lexi replied.
"How about you respond to your bus driver in LOVE because she clearly is lacking it! All she knows is anger and frustration. How about tomorrow morning you present her with freshly baked cookies and a hug!
You and I both know that she doesn't "deserve" it. If anything, she owes you an apology. But after all, isn't that what GRACE is all about?"
My precious daughter quickly replied, "Can we bake the cookies now?"
That next morning when Lexi handed her bus driver those cookies, the woman sat there in disbelief because she knew in her heart of heart's that she overreacted in pure anger and foolishness. Yet Lexi humbly came to her, in love.
Trust me when I say, those "cookies" spoke a million words in Lexi's defense!
The bus driver asked Lexi, "Can I have a hug too?" ... And just like that, PEACE entered in!"

It's bumble, I just don't want this associated with my handle.
I just broke up with her after 7 years and it's killing me. I don't want to talk about it, but it was the right thing to do for me, and it makes me a selfish prick, but I still love her and always will. If anyone wants to buy me a soda, because I don't like to drink, I have a weeks vacation coming up in 2 weeks, and no plans. Maybe I'll road trip to someone. Or someones. Anyways, the zoo had a new baby giraffe, he's cute and giant

I'm so sorry. Like Nick, as much as it hurts, if you felt you needed to end it, you're probably right. Wish I could give you a soda and a hug. You could try to hug the baby giraffe, but you better make sure the zoo staff isn't looking this time. We don't want a repeat of the last time. ;)

There's not much to do in my town, but if you're crazy enough to want to be in Louisiana just as the summer weather is kicking in, I'll take you out. I know it hurts. Hope you feel normal again soon.

If you somehow manage to roadtrip across the ocean, I've got an inflatable mattress with your name on it, and lots of interesting stuff to see and do in Belgium :p

I've been in the "still love her but breaking up was the right thing to do" position before, it certainly isn't fun or nice....But if you really believe it was the right call, it probably was. Best of luck in getting out of that funk :(

If you want to come to northern Minnesota, I could use a hand putting in all my sheetrock. Or we could drink cheep beer and shoot at road signs.

Amazon is building a warehouse near Denver. On one hand... Boo sales tax. On the other hand, yay potential same day shipping?

Come to Omaha. I'll show you a great Zoo. And drink soda with you because I don't drink, either.

I would say you could come hang in Colorado, but at best I have a couch and 2 noisy kids who wake up way too early on weekends. ;)

(Actually not that noisy, but they would be to someone on a couch)

My random post for the week.

Did a post prom on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Woke up at 10 am Saturday, started driving at 5 pm, did the post prom, finished at 5 am, and drove home. Stopped for breakfast so we got home at about 10 am Sunday. That's 24 hours to you & me, boys and girls. With 8 hours of that driving. But it was a good night.

I was hired to host karaoke and The Feud (like Family Feud without all the lawsuits) and the setup was going to be HORRIBLE! I was going to set up in one room for karaoke and then at 3 am was going to have to tear down and move everything to another room all the way across the building to set up for The Feud. And even then I was going to have to wait for the giant, inflatable Wipe-Out station to break down to clear the space. But I'm in the customer service industry so you learn to deal with these things. I let them know it would take me 15 minutes to a half hour to break down, set up, and sound check. And that's if the inflatable got broken down instantly. Riiiiight.

I get the karaoke set up and the people running the post prom get a call from the Wipe Out people. Turns out they double booked...and weren't going to show. They paid the guy $1000 and he just fucking blew them off! Yes, they are getting a full refund, but that didn't help them fill a hole with their biggest attraction. I wish I knew what company they used because I'd tell EVERYONE about this shit. That's just unprofessional. Anyway, I heard this and told them I'd take care of it. I then set up The Feud and karaoke in the same space and started hawking my wares. Instead of the contracted 2-3 hours I did 5. When they paid me at the end of the night they gave me an additional $250. They didn't have to but I gladly accepted.

And I got a message yesterday from the lady who was running it. She gave my contact number out to a couple people who asked for it. I think that's great but wish it wasn't 4 hours away!
