Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

Of COURSE the maintenance has to come to check my apartment for the stupid intercom system TODAY - when I have to work tonight AND I worked last night.

AND I haven't got crap for sleep the last few days.

On top of that, I find out two things - one, my mother in law is involved in an accident down in Tucson. Two, my uncle passed away this morning. :(

My left hip joint is making noises like a bowl of rice krispies. But it's painful less often, so I guess it's getting better.

That sounds like something wrong with your cartilage or you might have bone fragments grinding against the joint or even just bone loss rearing it's ugly head. I'd get a doctor's appointment... maybe even an x-ray.

It's getting better the more I work it. Pretty sure it was just a gas cavity. Like popping your knuckles. The pain is clearly muscular in nature, and only happens when I move the leg a certain way. And like I said, it's getting better. I've had this happen before a few times. It's painful but it gets better if I just keep working it.

But it costs more than cooking for myself!
That actually depends on where you live and what you'd cook. That said, take into account the cost of your own time: how much time would you spend going shopping and cooking? (if you enjoy either cooking or shopping, obviously the opportunity cost goes down). If it costs you an added hour of unwelcome work, but saves you $2, it isn't worth it. If it costs you 10 minutes and saves you $200, it definitely is.

I despise grocery shopping. It is my least favourite chore. I do love to cook, however. So it's really a toss up. I leave on Sunday but I can probably score free dinner at my folks' on Saturday, so we'll say I need to get myself 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners. Maybe I'll just sleep until Sunday.
And take a girl, make a date of it.

Fuck grocery shopping. (And the girl.)
If only.

Man, Chad, I'd be people's personal grocery shopper if they'd hire me. I load up on podcasts and wander the aisles. I guess I still associate it with my first taste of freedom. I became the grocery person after I got my license, and I loved it.

How do you feel about the drive between Louisiana and Alberta? Actually, screw that, I'll move there. I hate the snow and I've always wanted to visit.

Oh my God, come and be my neighbor! We currently share a wall with a Christian rock bass player and an old lady with a weiner dog who bays all damn night and day. I'm dying for someone to share all these baked goods with. No treats for the noisy.

Back before mp3 players I would lug my portable CD player around while shopping. In a tote bag like a dork.
Walkman, discman, mp3 player... if there's a chore like shopping (and no one else is with me), I've always had my head phones on. It makes it much more tolerable.

I sometimes sing... Not always well...

I do loved baked things.

You know, I think I have an idea for a Kickstarter: think Uber for Groceries.

The greatest professional hockey team in the world, the Toronto Maple Leafs is coming to my town to hold up close fan interactive practices in September.

I will be away on business.....
