But he threw those out of a copter.
Yeah, but radio stations generally don't have copters any more. Can't afford them. We sure can't, here. So it'd have to be off the roof, "Raul's Wild Kingdom" style.

Also, the real life incident upon which it was based, the turkeys were thrown off a roof, though it was a courthouse and not a radio station.

Ok, maybe my reference was a bit labored.

Interesting. I tried to save some time by cutting up spinach in the food processor, and it got a bit too fine. So my butternut squash Mac and cheese with chopped spinach looks more like some kind of pesto. Tastes good.

Would I get sued if I had a super villain character named Speedfreak? I know Marvel had one in the 90s, but they killed him off so not sure.
Depends on what you do with it. If it's anything that involves other people seeing it in a published/website form, you can probably expect a C&D.

Damn, thought so. It pisses me off the name is perfect for this character, maybe if I misspelled it, or put an umlaut on one of the letters.

Yeah I know, that's what I meant by infringing. The rules are looser. You can use the name as long as it's not infringing on or benefiting from their work.

The question is, how much money is Yoshi willing to pay a lawyer to rightfully assert that it isn't, because you know Marvel has an army of lawyers just waiting to pounce on anyone who twitches.

I painted my toenails. I really like how it looks, but as it gets warmer I'm gonna have to take it off. Why does it have to be girly? :(

I don't know. My husband has gone around with his toenails painted before and not in neutrals that couldn't be seen. Our daughter painted his nails teal and he went to physical therapy that way. I've painted his nails magenta/bright plum, too. He doesn't care.

When I was 9-10yrs old, I got a set of markers as a gift. Of course I colored everything, including the toes of one foot. And then I found out it wouldn't wash off (this was before I knew the difference between different kinds of solvents). "No problem," I thought. "It will wear off eventually, and nobody will see it in my shoe."

And then I fractured my toe in a game of indoor soccer in gym class. And had to go to the doctor with my toenails all colored pink with little faces. Of COURSE it was the foot I had markered up. I'm sure there were some closed-door discussions that went on between the doctor and my mother, but I never heard about them.

It has been 20 years since high school and still sometimes when I leave one place, I get the feeling that I forgot my backpack there.

I haven't owned a stick since probably 1999 or so, but I still look for the clutch/emergency brake all the time.

In regards to doing weird things without thinking about it: Sometimes I try to buckle myself in when I'm not in a car. Like, I go sit at my desk and make the movement of buckling a seat belt, but no, Christa, remember you're not in a car. Or I'll do it at the dinner table sometimes.

I don't even know.

I have regular nightmares that I didn't study for an exam that I have to take in the morning.

Also annoying, my phone has 3 Contacts too close together

I think I 'accidentally' phone @LittleKagsin at least once a month.

Hate that one! Mine involve me back in college, and it's finals day and I haven't been to my classes all semester!
Movies, interviews, pop culture, all of them go on to say how common a nightmare this is. I've never had it. Most of my nightmares are of the "scream when you wake up and realize you're still you" sort of dream.[DOUBLEPOST=1392841133,1392841101][/DOUBLEPOST]

Sort by last name, then!

I try to unlock our front door using the car remote.

Me too. I'm back in high school after learning I missed out on an essential credit and my diploma is revoked until I make it up.. and it's finals day and I've obviously not been in school all semester, and for some reason this precludes me from just leaving and going back to my job.[DOUBLEPOST=1392842378,1392842332][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyway, during the height of my Everquest/DAOC/WoW addiction, I used to commonly tell friends in real life to "send me a tell later" when I meant "call me later." It was embarrasing.

I dream that I have a job that I haven't shown up to in two weeks because I forgot I even have a job, but strangely no one cares, as long as I show up sometimes.

That one too! Ah gahd, about once a year I have a dream where I suddenly remember I work at Best Buy, and I need to get there for my shift... despite the fact that I haven't worked at Best Buy since I was a teenager. But when I get there, they put me right back on the sales floor with barely a stern look.

I can't tell you how many people I watch try to poke the screen on their desktop, or reach for a mouse when using their tablet.

I did something similar not too long ago. I normally use a laptop, so I have a touchpad instead of the mouse. I was using someone's desktop and for about 10 seconds couldn't understand why the cursor wasn't moving when I used the touchpad. Of course, the "touchpad" was just the top of their desk. :/
