Gas Bandit's Political Thread V: The Vampire Likes Bats

I think it's just something for people who were never going to vote Romney in the first place to get their panties in a bunch and feed their confirmation bias. Maybe they just wanted the attention?

I'm quite enjoying all the doom crying the Republicans are doing now "Well our candidate just killed his own campaign, here we go for 4 more years of down the drain".

Are they? All I see or hear is "Finally Romney is finding his backbone!"
Seems to me it's firing people up. Drudge is eating it up like it's the second coming of Jesus.

Except he's going to be apologizing for it soon, that's the part they're now upset about. First it was -He finally got a backbone- and now it's -He grew a backbone then apologized for it, it's over.-

You're probably right. The man is a windsock, a new england pseudoconservative. He doesn't actually have an agenda other than agreeing with whoever he's talking to so they'll vote for him.

After hearing on the radio about Mitt Romney's (oh whats the word) most idiotic thing he's ever said and I believe Republicans and Democrats are both saying the say thing: This guy is the Republican candidate? BUT HE'S DUMBER THAN BUSH!

Course they were saying this before but still.

He's not stupid, he's just a businessman and not a politician.

He's not stupid at all, it just seems like he really did live in such a rarefied atmosphere that he seems to just plain not understand people or their problems.

I don't think anyone would ever claim Mitt Romney to be stupid. He's a very intelligent man (one of those evil Harvard elites, even) and as his record shows, a very successful businessman. But business talent doesn't directly relate into ability as a president, and his understanding of anyone that isn't a millionaire seems shaky at best.

He will say absolutely anything to get your vote, though, so maybe he has the politician thing down pat aftetall.

First we find out that Mitt Romney's father was on welfare before he got off his feet, now we find out that Paul Ryan used Social Security from age 16-18 to pay for his college.

Funny how they say that noone on welfare or government assistance is going to get anywhere and they should just apply themselves instead. Oh wait, they DID say just borrow the money from your parents right? I guess Paul Ryan doesn't mind doing that after his father is already dead.

So, Republicans are bigger lushes than Democrats....
I dunno if you can call most of what's on that chart "drinking." Guinness, maybe. The rest... you get more of a buzz from licking toads.[DOUBLEPOST=1348782435][/DOUBLEPOST]And new logo for Natty Light: "When you just couldn't give any less of a shit - about your beer, OR your country."

It's interesting to me that if a beer has a "light" and "non-light" version, the "light" version is both up and to the right on the graph of the "regular" one, often dramatically. Why? Hell if I know, but it's interesting.

Pretentious liberals are beer snobs? "Ugh, you drink light beer?"

I'm betting the graph is bunk because it doesn't list very many independent breweries, which don't have the same huge penetration that the piss brands do. For fuck's sake, I don't even see Yuengling or Great Lakes and those are pretty huge in Ohio and Kentucky.
