Former President Trump Thread

A Ukranian civilian airliner has crashed in Iran. Some reports are saying it was "accidentally" shot down by anti-aircraft units on the outskirts of Tehran.

Jesus christ. Trump is a complete fucktard and people are going to die so he can look "not weak".

Who would do that? It seems like it'd be the worst thing for Iran to do if they're trying to say their only problem is with the US, and if it was the US, trump already would've been bragging about it. It feels like it genuinely was an incredibly poorly timed accident.

Iran is refusing to release the black box and photos of the crash show possible puncture marks from shrapnel. Oof, this isn't looking good.

Did they think the plane was somehow a US bomber or something? Or is this an Iranian/Russian attack on Ukraine?

I really hope someone went to Cheeto and said, "Damn it, if you start World War III you won't have to worry about impeachment because there'll be nothing left of you or the country to impeach!!!!"

That would only make him do it more. You can't expect his diseased narcissist brain to be able to comprehend consequences or others

I know the emote says funny, but I like the fact it's crying while laughing. Which perfectly embodies this presidency.

And I'll bet you anything he gets re-elected. I recently saw an article talking about how great it was he assassinated Qassim Soleimani because his base thought it made America look tough.

Because that's the kind of hell we live in these days.

He could, but it won't be due to high turnout for Trump, it falls directly on the shoulders of democratic apathy.

I did the research, and if you took the votes Obama got during both his elections, he would have beat Trump both times versus his 2016 election results. The issue is voter apathy made too many democratic voters stay home in the battleground states, and thus Trump won the EC. It was Hilary's game to lose and she gave it up when she ignored certain bg states because polls made them out to be "safe".

We have to hope that the utter contempt Trump pulls with a lot of American's will lead them to vote, even if just out of spite. That, or whoever wins the nomination can actually fire people up. Beto may have dropped out because his success in Texas didn't translate to a national scale, but he showed what a good speaker can do to election even in a hard red state. Yes, he lost, but he helped turn over a lot more house seats then people expected and was closer then he really had any right to be in this red ocean. This is why I kind of hope Bernie actually gets it this time. I simply can't see anyone else firing up voters as much as him right now.

I just really hope Biden does not get it, because seriously, we don't need another upper democratic establishment candidate.

I still haven't found a single person enthused by either Biden or Bloomberg. I'm personally probably most in favor of Buttigieg at the moment, though I imagine a gay president would be a very tough sell in half the country. Then again, that part of the country will probably vote for Trump for a third term in 2028, no matter what, so...

Trump was bragging today about how cancer deaths are at an all time low. Yeah, they've been steadily declining since the 1990s. The real effect of the Trump candidacy on cancer rates won't be seen for decades.

Buttigeig would've had to drop out months ago if he was straight (and probably wouldn't have ever even been considered as a candidate).

Sadly, I am starting to think that Bloomberg would be the most likely candidate to be able to beat Trump - but won't.

I'm still standing by my prediction that, if Trump doesn't get removed from office, we won't be having elections.
Oh, you will. It'll be a competition to see who can cast the most votes - Russia, China, Ukrian, Iran, or North Korea. Oh, and I guess some Americans will vote, too, in places that don't matter like New York and California.

The only way he’s getting nominated for a Nobel is posthumously, and then only if there is verifiable proof that he was the one responsible.
