The EPIC WIN Thread 3: SON OF EPIC

Kerri got a job! So July might just be Dave's Month. Kerri gets a job and Zach has gone full time. So there's going to be 3 full time workers in the house for the first time.

You guys have no idea how screwed we've been. If it weren't for Kerri's part-time gigs, my comedy gigs, unemployment, and some dumb luck I'd have been losing weight because we wouldn't be able to afford food. After paying my bills this month I have a whole $90 left from my paycheck - for the whole month of June. And the crowd rejoiced.

The landlord is coming over tomorrow to give us $250. Apparently when we moved in the old landlord charged us too much pet deposit. Neither he nor I knew there was a limit by law.
Landlords can be great, or complete tools. We had one that we had to take to arbitration to get SOME of our damage deposit back because of crap HE did. This is the same fuckwit who wouldn't turn on the heat for the whole building until mid-november when there was already snow on the ground.

In contrast, our next landlord was 100% great, and even helped us change a couple of minor things about the apartment, all without charge. We apologized for breaking one of the slats of the blinds when we were cleaning them, and his response was "we're glad you even tried to clean them, and you told us, so it's all good."

Glad things are going well for you Dave.

Had a really good day today. And I'm calling it an Epic Win because I can't say I've had a good day like this in quite awhile.

1) Biked to a nearby park to practice yoga with a friend. They helped me put together a class sequence for my final practical exam. Not sure if I'm ready to teach it for this weekend (the last weekend of Yoga Teacher Training), but I MIGHT be ready.

2) This also meant I got a LOT of sun.

3) Biked back up the hill and sat out in the sun at Starbucks and read comics (Superman Golden Age Vol 2).

4) Started putting together a massive puzzle of the city of Metropolis with my niece. While also introducing her to the Batman Animated Series.

One bad thing today:
1) I'M SUNBURNT AS HELL. I'M A TOMATO.

So I had another amazing day today. I won't copy and paste everything I've written elsewhere, pictures and all, but I'll copy a link to a Twitter thread I just finished writing:
