What are you playing?

Not only did we both survive, this was the same round where I killed myself with my own car after critizing Dei's driving.

Also, if you want to take a nap, here's the whole video (from my POV at least) (Going to bed before upload finishes)

A lot has to do with habit...But I find KB/M far more "natural" than a controller. I can play literally any type of game better with KB/M than with a controller.

Yes. Everything.

Controllers are cancer. You don't even need the mouse for Platformers, driving games or fighting games. Keyboard alone is vastly superior.

Now, you could argue for a special wheel controller for driving games, or a full-size joystick as in the arcade for fighting games, but controllers are shit for shit people who are shit.

Slay the Spire

An enjoyable roguelike deck building game. If you like games like Dominion or doing Dungeon Runs in Hearthstone, this is definely a game worth checking out on Steam.

Planescape: Torment EE
My fourth time playing through this game, and I think the Enhanced Edition did a great job. Not flawless, but good enough that I'm glad I bought it. This time through was my first time to have an Evil alignment. Every other time I've been Lawful Good. There really isn't a whole lot that changes. I honestly was expecting to have more change with my companions because I was evil, but maybe I made too many concessions for getting experience, stat bonuses, and such. There was only one big change, and that was just to one of the late game boss encounters:

All my previous games have had me facing Ignus in the Fortress of Regrets, but this time it was Vhailor. I think if you're Good or Neutral you fight the burning asshole and you only get to fight Juhstuhs if you're Evil. Taking down the spiky can of tinned Goliath is actually a fair bit harder as a Mage than taking down emo arsonist. Mister self-righteous has a huge amount of magic resistance and it seems like a higher armor class than he gets when he's actually in your party. Seriously, that's one of the reasons I never use him for long. He can take a lot of hits, but he does take a lot of hits and it's just not worth the healing it takes.

That's the biggest change I found being evil, aside from items with alignment restrictions, but I saw those with previous runs.

I'm now on my fifth play-through. This time as a Chaotic Good Thief. I've played as Thief before (in a mostly solo run), but never Chaotic. Apparently I suck at it, because I drifted back to Chaotic Neutral without intending to. Now I'm wondering if I can make it all the way back to Lawful before the end and get that achievement in the same run.

I've only got 8 of 50 achievements left. Two are about class choice, one each for reaching level 12 in Thief and Fighter before any other class. Two are related to Dakkon's blade and how you treat him (I wasn't enough of a jerk to him last run-through to get the Kin-Stealer. I didn't realize going through the Unbroken Circle of Zerthimon with him would up his morale.) Two are mostly associated with being chaotic; one for joining the Anarchist faction, and one for [spoiler below]* And the last two are alignment; one for reaching any Lawful alignment, and one for maintaining True Neutral for the entire game. Playing as a Lawful Neutral Fighter is probably going to have to wait for a while. I'm not sure I'm up for a third run in a row.

There's a sort-of Easter Egg in the game (as opposed to the literal Easter Egg of the DLC for Morte) if you lie about your name being Adhan enough. Do that enough times and you'll encounter an Adhan who has been shaped out of your belief/lies. I've never done this, and I'm hoping I don't screw it up.

Overall, this game is still one of my favorites, for so many reason.

Started another playthrough of Divinity: Original Sin 2, this time a Lone Wolf playthrough with me as a dwarf mage and Sebille as an archer. I finally feel like I know what I'm doing in this game. I focus mainly on aero and hydro spells, with some necro thrown in so that I can do some physical damage when needed. I'm also using a shield in addition to my wand, and shield throw also does very reliable physical damage. Sebille has three different teleport skills so that she can move to high ground easily, and rain arrows down at the enemy. She also has some geo and pyro skills, to create oil fires as chokepoints, and to do some magical damage when necessary. We also both have the teleport spell, so we can move enemies into damaging terrain, or cluster them together for AOE spells and skills.

The downside is that I've built both characters to focus on combat effectiveness, so I've neglected my other skills and talents. Neither of us have very high loremaster skills, so I have trouble identifying gear, and I don't think I've succeeded in a single persuasion check in the whole game so far. Picking locks is also right out, but fortunately I can simply break down most doors and chests.

EDIT: I just realized I'm a dumbass and did something backwards. Making Sebille the necromancer would've made more sense because she's an elf and gets flesh sacrifice, which creates a pool of blood under her feet, which would've reduced the AP cost of all necromancer spells if I give her the Elemental Affinity talent too. Guess I don't know what I'm doing in this game after all.

I don't know why you haven't been streaming the last few nights.
*shrug* A lot of it is because I've been getting on late, and not feeling like firing up my stream. We've also been quitting a little earlier than you usually start watching I think.

I stopped playing Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows because Mona left after a misunderstanding and I can't deal with the suspense of if she'll come back or not, especially if there's something I need to do to make that happen and I somehow miss doing it.

It's a linear story out of your control and you should keep going.

Civilization 6

Been playing this a lot again in the last few days. Largely because I've been severely depressed and haven't felt like doing anything.

That said, this gave me a good laugh. Just did it for myself and got the Deity difficulty achievement. Which is funny because I usually play no higher than Warlord (third lowest difficulty). I feel cheap, but really, there was no way I'd get it legitimately.

Capcom: We've added an elder dragon to the final Monster Hunter World beta.

Hunters: Yay!

Capcom: And to make it even more challenging, we've reduced the time limit to 15 minutes even though in the real game it's 50 minutes..

Hunters: Y ... yay?

I'm eating up the beta, but I wish I had time to explore the game. Setting up traps and figuring out strategies will be more important than ever in this Monster Hunter. I know that's what the main game is for and it'll be out in less than a week, but ... I want it nooooooow mooooom

Easy there, Veruca.

Holy shit this game is fantastic. I've put in about 20 hours more than I should've over the past few days.

I made a ROBLOX Account so I could check out what the kids are playing. There seems to be drama etc in some of the games and I just want to have a look.

The weird perspective on The Pokémon game there makes me pukey. Which means that I am officially old and lame.

According to a stat calculator, that Gliscor's got perfect IVs in at least 4 stats, and possibly all 6. Plus it's shiny.

Quite a catch, though I can't help but be a bit suspicious. :p
So am I lol. That's why I said the part about being advertised to :)

Check out the trainer's name lol.

Either way, it's a great find for me in Ultra Sun. When I get far enough that I can get access to the Judge Feature, I'll let you know how his stats looked :)

Factorio

Well, there was an update sometime since I last played that created THREE MORE TIERS on the tech tree, and moved the research for the second half of logistics networks two tiers lower (so basically the only things harder to research are fucking nuclear weapons and the game-winning macguffin).

The first half of the research lets you build "provider" chests which flying logistics robots can pick up items for delivery.

But the second half is required to build the "requester" chests that tell the robots where to deliver the things they can pick up. Without these, the only place they can deliver them is to you, the player. Which is damn near impossible unless you stand stock still for excruciating amounts of time (because the robots are slow as fuck), so there's practically no point.

This has pretty much almost ruined the game for me.

Has anyone made a mod fixing the wrongness? Surely you're not the only miffed player.

I don't know, I'll have to look. It doesn't use the workshop, so I have to use their stupid in-game mod portal.[DOUBLEPOST=1516649124,1516649019][/DOUBLEPOST]And to add insult to injury, I found a big dev blog post that said they basically hate 'bots and wanted to remove them from the game entirely, but they decided to do this instead to throw 'bot users a bone so we should be grateful they're still in the game at all.

Fuck those guys.

Turns out the mod is for the experimental (not live/stable) version of the game, so it doesn't work. At least, not straight from the download. Fortunately, lua script is easy enough to parse than I was able to fix it myself to work with the current version. Factorio is good again!

I've fallen into playing Elite: Dangerous again. The thargoid threat is finally real, they've been attacking stations on the outer rim, and I'm making a boat load transporting refugees. I haven't tried xeno-hunting yet, doing so requires specialized technology that I don't yet possess, and I've heard it's pretty hard and best to do in groups. But just wait until my baby is ready for a bug hunt*

*note: it is not yet known if thargoids are bugs
