Purely to be doing the thing again: What do the colors of the pixels have to do with the colors of the strawberries? I guess they could be CGI strawberries, but then that's a bit of existentialism to question if they have a color at all... But if the photo is of real world strawberries, then are we talking about the color they were when the photo was taken, or what color they are now? Presumably that photo was taken long enough ago that the strawberries aren't red anymore...

The last picture in that linked article messes with my head the most. I can follow it down from the adjacent strawberries and watch it turn grey.

Scary how pictures 16 and onward in the above album show the level of destruction to the primary spillway.

You can see that that hill was intentionally graded as a secondary spillway, in response to the people making fun of the secondary spillway as only a hill. You can see the grading in the eroded cutaways (barring any massive, extremely recent earthquakes atypical of the transform quakes they get in CA). I'm guessing the engineers figured it was a one-shot deal that would need repair afterwards, but it's better than the alternative.

I've played a game where my king has crossed the board. He was escorting the pawn - which I named Messalina - down the aisle. She had fooled the idiot king into marrying her.

I may have just finished reading I, Claudius (well, it's sequel, Claudius the God) shortly before that game.

Anyway, if I remember right, the game ended with Messalina mating King Henry; afterward, she would be beheaded for the act, but the game was won!

I watched Marley and Me for the first time last night. BIG MISTAKE! as you can tell from my profile pic, I am raising a Marley of my own. Luckily for Ralph and me, Ralph is not my first dog. But there are times that he too is the worst damn dog on the planet (super destructive, like he loves to rip the buttons off of my shirts.) But I knew how to be the leader of the relationship and socialized the hell out of him as a puppy. From the word of mouth about the film I thought the ending would be more tragic, not the natural progression of things...

Still a sad ending...

And I considered this to be one of those movies that just came out and I missed it... 9 years ago. Shit! I hit that age where time truly flies.

Ha ha, my poor kitty. It's been a week or so of very low humidity here. He loves to rub on the carpet... he loves to rub on the blankets... then he goes to go sniff something that is grounded and POW.
