Hurm. When I worked for them, I could never get a straight answer about how much money exactly went to charities. This article just further reinforces some of the concerns I had.
"Founded by the son of a Salvation Army executive" reads like a movie plot.
"Father, if we simply made a few changes, the Salvation Army could become profitable."
"Son, Salvation Army was never about the profit."
"But Father..."
"Get out. I have no son."
"Very well, Father. You shall rue the day!"
TV Announcer: "For-profit charity Savers now the world leader in charitable donations acceptance..."
Father: "My God, what have I done?"

Where does AIM keep getting all these expendable yet highly intelligent, trained, and evil scientists?

Guys? I really don't give a rat's ass about American sports. I'm really looking for something to do here. Entertain me, dammit. I shall give ratings. They're incredibly rare.

When you've got a useless science degree and six figure student loan debt, it's amazing what sort of career path suddenly becomes acceptable.

Was told something odd tonight by one of my work study students.

One of my female student workers was talking about something personal, and I guess they'd touched on it before but I didn't really remember (I didn't consider it to be especially important to know) and so when the penny finally dropped it was like, "Oh, that. Yeah, I can see why that'd be a big deal," sort of reaction. And she stops and goes, "Well, I guess I don't have to worry about you being all stalky and obsessive if you're not paying attention." I said, "Eh, I'm too fat to stalk people anyway." She goes, "I don't know, there are some big hedges outside my window." "Uh... good to know?" I said.

Just one of those things where someone young and good looking is used to being the center of attention and gets concerned when they aren't.

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I'm American, and I couldn't care less about American sports either. Or European sports. Or any sports.

Tried the Taco Bell steak AM Crunchwrap this morning, since it's free today, and it's pretty good.

I don't think I'd choose it at its normal price, though.

I haven't gotten one of those "You're doing that thing again" ratings. Do I not have a thing? Should I get a thing? Would I be a better person with a thing?
