All that stuff about Moffat phoning it in? I take it back. I take it all back. That was one hell of an episode, from beginning right to the cliffhanger. There's something I realized during this episode about this whole season: it was a lot less about the adventures and more about the character development. Because despite my complaints about the episodes in general, I have loved the characters and actors involved.

If I had one complaint about this episode...

It was the build up of this fantastic concept of the afterlife...only for it to all be a trick by The Mistress/Master. Instead of being an actual afterlife, it's just a big globe of downloaded people and a bunch of Cybermen in London. Fortunately, all the build up, characterization, and acting helped soften the blow considerably. I'm still very much invested in the finale for this, either way.

Either way, I guess this FINALLY makes it canon that time lords can change genders in regeneration. Funny how they used The Master to reveal it because the mystery behind Missy was hilarious.

The only thing I still don't understand - and maybe in all the excitement, I missed the explanation - but what did 3W stand for? I feel like it was supposed to be a big reveal, but then they never actually spelled it out. I don't think, anyway.

"Don't cremate me"? Then shouldn't the company be "DCM," now 3W? So, what, it's supposed to stand for "Three Words"? Because if so, that's pretty fucking stupid.

Hmm... sounds almost exactly like what I just said last page :p

I still would have preferred that it was The Rani, or better yet a Romana who had been driven insane by the Time War.

My guess was the same as your spoiler. I'm not disappointed, but I thought it would have been more of a surprise than the actual Missy reveal.

I mean, seriously, I REALLY want them to address what happened to Romana.

I thought she might show up the last time the Master was around, but nope... unless she was one of the women covering her eyes.

Big plot-holes so far. Unfortunately. Have they been around since the early middle ages doing this (Robin Hood episode)? How does it work with mechanicals (also that episode, and the season opener)? A lot of "this causes more questions than answers" thing happening IMO.

The only explanation I can think of is given who "Missy" is, the Cybermen* may have access to things outside of linear time.

The problem with the Rani is that she's more of a mad scientist then a "conquer the world with cybermen" type, so they'd have to take it in another direction if it was her.

But it would have been nice if Missy would have said something like "who where you expecting, The Rani?

I feel like Clara/Danny was trying to be (and failed) a recycled Amy/Rory, much like Martha's googly-eyes for the Doctor were too much like Rose's. The difference there is Martha was still a great companion, while Clara....eh, I'm not going to miss her. She started off a mystery that was sort of a let-down, and in her finale season she was just too demanding. She's not the first companion to be that way (full-Who history, not just the reboot), but it makes her less tolerable. I'd like the showrunners to give the Doctor a companion that is strong but not stamp-her-foot and tantrum like Clara.

There was a lot I liked about the finale, but there were a few parts that left me a little cold. All-in-all, I'm looking forward to more 12th Doctor.

I thought Danny would help the Doctor get over is prejudice against soldiers, or maybe blacks, since the PE insults seem more than just anti-soldier. So I imagined Danny going off in the blue box and leave Clara at home with a bun in the oven. So the time traveler at the end of the universe, is not their great grand kid... unless Santa fixes it all.

I saw a theory floating around that the post-it note confession was part of Clara telling Danny she was pregnant, which would also line up with why she was going to tell the Doctor she was done traveling. But this is speculation, so maybe we'll find out at Christmas.
I never got the impression that the P.E. comments had anything to do with him being black, but being far from the Doctor's intellectual equal. Danny was obviously young and handsome, so the Doctor wanted to emphasize how much smarter and more cultured he was.

For the last three Christmas specials, I've been trying to watch it as it first airs, and something always gets in the way. This year, mom wanted to go visit some strangers for a dinner at a church, when I already had laryngitis from talking to too many customers the day before. Last year, mom was out of the country, but told other people I would go to their place for dinner, and they don't have BBC America. Two years ago, I went all the way to London, with the bonus of being able to watch it with the rest of the Brits as it first aired, when mom decided to call and talk right as the program was beginning.

TL;DR: mom Doc-blocked me three years in a row.

I'm not obsessed, but I do love the LEGO games, and that trailer was amazing.

I'm interested in the characters and the story, but I'll probably skip this because of the Skylanders/Disney Infinity style of toy tie-in. I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on toys. I buy my LEGO games when they're on sale for less than $10.

Basically, imagine a LEGO game that works like Skylanders. The main game comes with a Lego toy pad, on which you place certain figures or items (sold in special packs) and those then appear in the game itself.

There will be the main starter pack, but in addition to that there will be level packs (which have figures, gadgets, and new levels to play), team packs (which have two characters and two items), and fun packs (which are just one character and one item). For those curious, the level packs currently announced will be Back to the Future, Doctor Who, The Simpsons, and Portal.

Video game with physical toys that connect to it via some form of NFC chips. Presumably the gameplay will be similar to your average LEGO game, only you'll have to purchase $30 toy packs to unlock new levels, and pay $15 - $25 to unlock new characters.

Looking around, there are already 31 figurine sets ($15 - $30 each) in addition to the $100 starter pack.

Oh, and no PC version.

No, you're not. I've been screaming bloody murder for days because I'm one brick away from Platinuming Lego Jurassic World and I've spent hours combing all the stages and can't f**king find it. :mad:
