[News] The USA Police State will never satisfy its lust for beating, gassing, and imprisoning minorities

I'm not watching that video.

What would be great is if wave after wave of black person would just show up at that pool, though I can't say I'd blame anyone for not wanting to.

Considering it's a community pool that only residents have legal access to, I don't think trespassing repeatedly is going to help the case at all here.

While it is possible (maybe likely) that the cops were called due to racism, and the way the cops acted once there was certainly racist, this was still a large and rowdy party that likely violated the rules of the community pool. I think it's very emblematic of the race problems in this country that this situation wasn't resolved better than it was. I've seen parties of white people at pools asked to leave. HOAs are notorious for having a stick up their ass, and they'll make sure their rules are followed, even if there isn't a problem being caused. However, I'm also absolutely certain that rowdy parties of white teenagers don't get treated like this if the cops do arrive.

, a white woman had started making racist comments, telling black partygoers to get used to the bars outside the pool because that’s all they were going to see.
Some adults made racist comments and told the teens to return to “Section 8 [public] housing
As far as I can tell the only people who needed to leave that pool were the ones making racist comments.

Well, you're probably right, but most articles I read suggested that there were too many non-residents at the party. I don't know for certain. Plus, many of the articles I read made it sound like the fight was between guest of the party, and didn't mention that the fight involved someone who wasn't involved in the pool party.

**Just Rumors**

A kid had permission to throw a pool party. He invited some friends and had a DJ. The DJ then Facebooked/Tweeted that there was a pool party and all of his followers should show up. The party got too crowded, loud and rambunctious for the locals who were trying to hang out at the pool too. Sounds like they asked the people to leave that did not belong there, and the strangers got in their face, then the locals said some racists shit. And a fight started between the adults and the kids.

...then the first cop on the scene forgot he was the adult and overreacted to a kid talking "smack" to him.

Once the locals started spewing racist shit I pretty much don't care about their rights anymore. I know that's technically not cool, justice is blind and all that and everyone deserves equal treatment, but on the other hand...you know...fuck those people.

You should come read the Seinfeld thread.

I think there are people who could be brilliant teachers without a master's degree, and some of them can't afford to get a master's because of the fucked up way our country treats education.

But those won't be the people taking up these teaching positions in Wisconsin.

You can teach now without a masters degree. We're talking about high school graduates teaching.

You don't even need a bachelor's in some states if you want to sub. I'd need one here in Ohio, but you only need a 2-year degree down in Florida.
My stepmom has a master's and teaches kindergarten, so I just assumed it was a requirement, which is part of why I never understood how incredibly lazy some teachers are. Knowing they could so easily come from my undergrad class, it makes sense.

Many teachers wait to get their Master's until they are employed because their school district will cover some of the costs of this... but very few teachers have one when they START.

For my current university masters in gifted ed program, you're required to teach for 1 year first. There are 2-3 courses you can take early. I had the opportunity to get it directly after my undergrad, but I think having the experience really helps.

TLDR: Santa Ana cops raid a marijuana dispensary with weapons drawn like it's a meth lab, joke about assaulting one of the customers (an amputee in a wheelchair), try to destroy the cameras (missed one), then sample the product themselves.
