This is the book that a lot of Hollywood uses to write screenplays. It lays out the standard 3-act format in a very specific way, going so far as to say that on page X, Y should happen. Though I don't write screenplays, I got the book a few months ago to help me figure out how to tighten up my first acts.

I'll be interested to see if you like the book after you read it. Or, I suppose, if you like movies after you see it. It's so pervasive, I almost view the book as an enemy to film now
