A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system.

yes that is a significant advantage. however its also a horrible thing to have.

I must say I disagree, as I consider myself closer to libertarian than authoritative, but I suppose it goes to some of my complaints with the questions.

note: I AM NOT A LIBERTARIAN! I'm a Conservative, and proud of it.

I've taken this test before; I end up pretty much all the way o nthe bottom, halfway between the center and the left border. Pretty extremist, which I don't consider myself to be, but oh well.

And yes, a lot of those questions were very poorly worded. One comes to mind is the attendance in school. If I'm having to pay for kids to go to school, their butts better be in the seats. Private school on the other hand - I couldn't care less if their parents are wasting their money.

I know about Maher, and the history behind his loud mouth, but I like the 5-way panel format. About my opinions, they are very clear, at least to me. I've gone a bit more to the "american-style" left, but that's the same thing as the chilean center-right wing.

I still watch the sunday morning programs (except Wallace), get my news from the BBC and read some of the blogs (even when the skew to the left).

I lost interest in Maher when he a) Proved he was the biggest asshole you could find on the right or the left and b) when I realized his "panel" was a bunch of assholes who agreed with him and occasionally 1 poor person who didn't who they just acted like assholes towards.

Yeah, I usually come out pretty centrist on these things, though it looks like going to college in California has pushed me a bit left, and listening to my little brother go off on his political rants has made me a bit libertarian.

I am perfectly comfortable with this.
