I'm thinking it is also time to throw Sandra and Woo in the file marked "abandoned." The author clearly burned out and literally pulled a "Harem ending out of nowhere thanks bye." That was July 7th, and he did it so abruptly none of his readers really understood that it wasn't a joke - someone purporting to be his mother had to come into the comments section of the last comic July 31st and tell people "yeah he's drained, it's done."

And to be honest the final arc didn't really match the tone of the rest of the comic in general - it started getting a little... unsettlingly sexual for a comic about characters that are approximately 15 years old. Novil had touched on the topic from time to time previously, but now it definitely has the appearance of "I don't give a fuck any more, I'm going to just get everything out of my system and then peace-out." So a comic that started out as a light hearted "Calvin-and-Hobbes clone about a preteen girl and her pet raccoon" quickly morphed into a "harem comic about a teenager discovering she is bisexual and then cranking everything up to 11, clearly written by a heterosexual male, and didn't there used to be animals in this comic?" comic.

So, another 10-year comic comes to an end, in a mildly unsettling and definitely unsatisfying manner.

Ublock Origin.
That's what Yoshi's referring to. Google keeps trying to make a change to Chrome that will break every known method of adblocking, including ublock origin. So far they keep backing off when the outrage spikes, but one of these times, they'll go through with it.

Thus I already moved back to firefox back the first time they tried.

I run AdNauseam as my adblocker, which is Ublock Origin but with an extra sandbox around it that tells every single ad you would have seen "I clicked you!" so it turns any profile on your habits into meaningless spam of "he clicks on everything, we have no idea wtf he wants to see or what his interests are" and as a side effect also gets the website paid.

Would this also work on mobile? I kinda hate using Chrome on my phone.

Firefox does have a mobile version, and there is a version of ublock origin for it (it's the first one in the "recommended" section when you go into the menu and tap "addons").

However this will only catch ads in Firefox, not in, say, the youtube app.

And also bear in mind that that's the best way to add it, as the full PC browser version of firefox uses a different version of ublock origin that doesn't work with the mobile browser (it'll complain "wtf is this .xpi file, I have no idea what to do with this").

Jesus Christ, I haven't read Evil Inc in over.....10 years. THINGS HAVE CHANGED.

Oh, he and Dave Kellett still do that podcast too.

I'd go into more detail about HOW much things has changed story wise, but Guigar put a pay wall on the archive so there's that. Its like, I GET IT, webcomics don't pay as much so Patreon heavy is the way to go, but what if I'm a new reader? How would I know whether to invest in a story that I only see the latest page of?

That and once again, AAAAAAAAAAAAAALL the porn.

Not so much for the comic itself, but for this quote in the comments discussing the "G. I. Joe" theme song:
Specifically the opening song for GI Joe the Animated movie. A cartoon opening so utterly patriotic that you are not allowed to watch it without a bazooka in one hand, an M16 in the other, while eating a medium rare steak with fireworks going off overhead. Also a bald eagle must either be perched upon your shoulder, on your arm, or circlong overhead. If circling overhead, the bald eagle must also be carrying the american flag in its talons. Otherwise it must be situated on a wall behind you. When I watched it, I spontaneously gave birth to 13 marines, each of whom sported a full beard and grew into adulthood within 50 seconds, one second for each state in the U S of A. Segeant Slaughter delivered them by yelling at me to walk it off afterwards or be labelled a dirty commie red.
I salute you, comment person, for composing this. You've earned it.
(link to the song in question)
