Wild ox, steppe bison, buffalo, musk ox, the extinct aurochs (last known died in 1627 in Poland)... those are your natural cows. They can be found on temperate plains, steppes, and tundra.

I don't even know where to start with the explanation of the pig. Like, how do they not know that pigs are domesticated boars? Pigs go completely feral within a generation in the wild, that's how close they still are.

I assume it’s meta and 4th wall-y for when people come to find it, therefore clever but bad execution mainly because it’s so hard to divorce the meta from its subject.
