Funny Pictures Thread. It begins again

From what I hear, make sure you practice on a lathered balloon before you actually try it on your face. Because that shit will peel you like a blood-engorged grape at the slightest errant twitch.
... perhaps I am not manly enough for a straight razor after all.

The safety razor is cheap as hell, and gives a much better shave than an electric, without the needless complication of a straight razor.
I've always had poor performance from disposables. I don't care if they were one blade, 5 blades, vibrated, squrited goo, had a "soothing strip", or whatever the latest marketing bullshit was. I never got a great shave, and I always ended up with razor burn and pimples.

I've tried electrics: The norelco rotary blades, the old standard electric like my great grandfather used...nothing would get all the hair/stubble. And I spent forever even trying. And you also have to deal with the annoyance and pain when it sometimes just decides to rip a hair out instead of cutting it.

My wife got me a safety razor a couple of years ago. It's been heaven. I get a quick, close shave without irritation or pimples. Sometimes, you just can't improve on the old ways.

This thread now makes me think it is time for my weekly shave....

With my gillete disposable that i have been using for 6 months....

I will then use my linux pc to both have fun and get shit done.

I went to buy refills about 3 years ago for a razor I really liked, but the refills were about $11.
So I bought a bag of disposable twin-blades for about $7.
I still haven't finished the bag.

I can't even use the really cheap disposable razors that come in big bags... my beard is patchy, but the hair is thick enough that it just destroys the blades after a single use.

I got a package of 200 Gillette Super Stainless DE blades back in 2009. They were NOS from the early 80s. Had a stack of Platinum Plus blades to go through, so it was over a year before I got to them. There's still at least a year or two supply left at 5 shaves per blade and 10 blades per pack.

Current razor is a '57 Red Tip. I rotate that with a '60 Adjustable and a '68 Slim Adjustable. No nicks or cuts unless I'm *really* not paying attention.

I use a safety razor because the blades are like a dollar for 20. I bought a new one for pretty cheap thanks to hipsters flooding the market with them. I hate shaving because no matter how careful I am, I get blood-measles on my neck every single time. I usually shave once every 2 weeks or so because of that. Plus I look damn sexy with my Sonny Crockett stubble.

Ahahaha, thanks for the reference link, I'm now officially a big fan of Yiayia and my gf is already sick of me going around talking bad about everything in a weird accent!

I love the Yiayia commercials.

"You dress like prostitute!"
"Did... she just call me..."
"No, Yiayia would never-"
"PROSTITUTE!"

"This is the PORNOGRAPHY!"
"What? No, we just-"
"PORNOGRAPHY!"

"Are you married?"
"No, we're not..."
"But you live together..." (sly grin, rubbing fingers together suggestively)
"Well, yeah-"
"YOU ARE GOING TO HHKHHELL!"

Anyone claiming they have a blade that'll last for months can just pass them along to me. Shave my head with it a few times and a lightsaber won't hold an edge. Bald on top, seriously strong and LOTS of hair all around. Bloody annoying.

For those bleeding or having razor burn - hot water, folks. I know it's manly (and better for your blade) to use cold water ,but warm water REALLY cuts down on the razor burn and itch.

Cold water is only for the final rinse before a rub with an alum block and the aftershave. During the shave, use as hot as you can stand.

I shave just as soon as I get out of the shower, so my hair will be soft. I had a date and decided to shave just before I went. HOLY HELL that hurt! Even though I lathered up with hot water, my hair was too tough to shave easily.

People who have seen my pic know that I don't shave very often. But when I do, I've found the secret to be conditioner. Slather that shit on your face (and your hair too if you want, it's what it's for) and it makes your facial hair much softer and easier to dominate with a blade.

I don't care what people say, I like 5 blade razors. They just feel a lot smoother to me. They last at least 2 to 3 months each, so they're not all that expensive.

I haven't shaved in a few months though. My beard is almost unbearable today. So itchy. I'm almost ready to shave it off. Almost.

. . . I get, like, two shaves out of those 5 blade razors. If I skip a weekend, I might use a couple 2 blade razors for a single shave. I don't grok what y'all are saying at all.

It's not that I don't like them. They're definitely a lot easier to use than a safety razor. I can't say I've ever gotten 2-3 months out of a blade before, though. I just can't justify spending that much.

I actually find this a lot more interesting than simple swimsuits or ball gowns. Though some of them are pretty bizarre, like Ireland.

I think Spain's my favorite.

EDIT: Japan's cute as well.

EDIT2: Lithuania rocking that see-through look. Wow.

EDIT3: Switzerland's costume is a big plus.
