I think when she says clutter she is referring to dropped items specifically. Like I dropped a bunch of DIY and got downgraded to a 3 for clutter. When I picked them all up I went back to a 4 the following day.
This also applies to turnips left outside. So if you haven't reached 5 star yet, you shouldn't leave your turnips outside when you want to be evaluated.
Thank you! I’m at four stars and I have a large outdoor turnip field. I keep adding decorations and she never mentioned clutter until yesterday.
For a minute I thought I was in a different thread and that Squids had suddenly become a dealer.
Dropping them in your house doesn't affect rankings unless you let them rot (since HHA comes Saturday night), and yes it looks dumb, but once you get the golden watering can it doesn't really matter if you hold on to 5 star.
