What are you playing?

Got Psychonauts(STILL love this game) and am doing a 100 percent run. WHERE ARE YOU LAST FIGMENTS! I know your there SOMEWHERE! Velvetopia is probably the hardest, cos of the colors.

The Fallout hype train convinces me to finally buy New Vegas. I just have to get through Saints Row IV at my current rate of almost half hour a week playing, and I'll get right on it.

Also, thanks to a $14 gift card I found it cost me all of fifty-five cents. Once again, not in a huge hurry to jump on the new games bandwagon.

Smite, I hate these types of games but the arena part, is amazingly mindless 5 on 5 fun.

Conquest is so BORING.

Did you get the Ultimate version, with all the DLC? Because the DLC's pretty awesome.

Riddler building Mario Kart tracks is one of the silliest video gamey things in any game, ever.

BATMAN, CAN YOUR INTELLECT USE A STEERING WHEEL?

On the plus side, Boudicca of the Celtic Empire has completed the Manhattan Project and is leading the world into a new era (that's who I'm playing as). My main conflicts are with Alexander of Greece, who is a dick, but each time we've fought he's lost a major city, and Nobunaga of Japan, who has lost 2 major cities to me. He keeps moving troops around the border but he's using musketeers, cavalry, and riflemen, I've got machineguns, tanks, and infantry. Maria Therese of Austria was very friendly until lately, when she attacked by surprise. There is no longer an Austrian civilization. My best ally is Hiawatha of the Iroqouis nation. He attempted to steal technology, his spy got gacked and I made him apologize, then forgave him.

I've been playing a ton of Dragon Ball Xenoverse. I finally beat the main story, allowing me to make secondary characters, and have been playing around with the create-a-character. It basically allows you to create what amount to horrible fan-fiction characters in the Dragon Ball universe. With that in mind, I present to you...

The Riddler is kind of a hokey holdover from the cornier days anyway. Why would Batman solve his riddles at all? Asylum kind of gave a motivation with Bats homing in on his location, but still. I kind of liked when Riddler went good(ish).

All this hullabaloo about Arkham Knight has gotten me in the mood for some Batman, so I've fired up Arkham City again.

Rescuing Catwoman can wait. There are thugs in the street that need fisticuffing!

Well, Dragon Age 2 is officially in the books. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot. It had some problems, but I still had a lot of fun with it.

Next up is Inquisition, and I'll be playing that one on the PS4. It's time to upgrade. :D

Goodbye, PS3. You have been a faithful servant over these last few years, and I thank you. Time to rest now. You've earned it.

Lego Marvel Superheroes

It's okay. It's the usual stiff, repetitive gameplay, with plenty of groan-worthy puns. The different powers of each character is a lot of fun. So far, Mr. Fantastic is a lot of fun, visually, especially some of the ridiculous shapes they put him in for puzzles. That said, some of the puzzles have been frustrating because the developers have not made it clear enough what my target is supposed to be. Like redirecting a laser using Cap's shield, you need to fill up two energy bars. That's fine, except there's barely any indication that you're supposed to aim for that or that you're filling them up. It wasn't until I looked up a walkthrough that I found out what I was supposed to do.

After finishing the third mission, the open world (Manhattan) became available. And honestly, so far, I'm finding flying around the city with Iron Man not as enjoyable as flying around Gotham as Superman. There's something really off about the controls that doesn't make it as smooth.

Anyway, I'll keep playing because the Lego games are always adorable to play.

Been cracking into some Deus Ex Human Revolution, finally doing the stealthy, no killing run I've always wanted to.

I'm not sure I accomplished it though so far. The first boss, I was using only tranq darts on, then he kind of got himself in a corner and grenaded the holy fucking shit out of himself. Hopefully that doesn't count towards my run.

That's interesting, I found Marvel to be much easier to control than Lego Batman 2.

If you're playing the original version, you are specifically allowed to kill the 4 bosses directly because the game forces you to. In other words, you don't need to hold back during those fights, so be as violent as you want. If you are in the Director's Cut, you are given specific means during each fight to accomplish the kills non-directly or to allow you to perform a non-lethal KO... doing it via these means will not violate the achievement.

Shit. Yeah, I'm in the Director's Cut and I think it went the lethal way because of his self bombardment. Fuck petals.

Looking at the achievement for the Director's Cut, the boss fights STILL don't count for it.

Pacifist

Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut without anyone dying by your hand. (Boss fights don't count).
So you're fine. Just know that each boss fight has means to beat each boss other than gunning them down. Like the first boss has turrets you can lure them into if you're good enough at hacking to get to them and have the Str mod to move them.

Really, with the advent of one-hit takedowns, going non-lethal for everything else is a breeze if you have patience.

Earthbound: I'm amazed how much the simple pleasures of this game can still excite me.

"Fuck yeah, I'm riding again with the Runaway Five!"

*playing my jam*

"What could be better than this? ... wait, we're going on the spaceship next! YES!"

It irks me that in none of the Civilization games, do the Vikings get a Longship as a special unit. Especially with ability to go upriver. I guess that would be a bit imbalancing, but, well, that's exactly why the Vikings were able to ransack across Europe from 780 to 1000 AD with little trouble.

The Danish get Berserkers in Civ 5. They are Amphibious (can attack from the water with no penalty) and get +1 extra movement, exactly because that's how Vikings were able to succeed. So... yeah, they get their Longboats. You just don't get to see them.

Yeah, the Berserkers aren't bad. Much better than they were in 3... though, admittedly, I am kicking a lot of ass in Civ III with the Scandinavians. At one point I was fighting a three-front war against Greece, France, and German. The French lost 3 cities, two Greek cities rebelled and joined me, and I captured 2 German cities. All three pressed for peace, which I granted. Then Germany kept moving people in my borders towards my cities, and after the 4th time of telling them to stop it, I declared war. German has lost 2 more cities and I have 4 units around their capital. Greece tried to capitalize by also declaring war on Germany and capturing Munich... when then rebelled in favor of me. Of course, my civilization is the Industrial / Modern era, and everyone else is still medieval.

Super Mario Sunshine. I recall hating this game when it came out, and I know it's largely considered the worst 3d Mario game, but I'm finding it surprisingly fun now.

I wonder if I was being unfairly harsh on it in the past.
