Legend of Korra

Huh. I was just re-watching the scene with Aang spirit bending and I thought of something. He said "I took away your fire bending. You can't use it to threaten or hurt anyone ever again."

What if that's the theme of this series? Maybe the end of the bending world will be the end of bending? Suppose the villain has the ability to spirit bend? Or perhaps, for whatever reason, Korra realizes the dangers of bending and decides to spirit bend the world, preventing anyone from bending ever again? I highly, highly, highly doubt it'll go in that direction, but suppose that's how the series ends? It'd be a hell of a way to end it.

If that happened...every message-board in the world would crash from over flamage.

Sounds like Mass Effect 3.

It's much more likely this is the villain's goal: To ride the world of bending, to create a world where everyone can be equal. We already know he has people who can do Tai-Lee's chakra blocking.

Personally, I doubt we're going to see bending go away completely. It's too iconic to the setting, so even as it goes forward into the future, it's entirely likely we'll still see benders of some sort.

Plus it would ruin any chance for a sequel. And once geeks get the bug-THEY AIN'T NOTHIN' STOPPIN EM!

It'd be funny if she lost her current three bending powers, and had to really work hard to get air bending.
...how would that work? Would every single water, fire, and earth avatar leave her body? But the air-avataras knew how to other-bend as well so probably not. It's an interesting concept mind you, I just don't know how it would be executed.

Moon spirit actually. The Ocean spirit was the one that possessed Aang and proceeded to murder the fuck out of every Fire Nation soldier in the area.

I asked a class-mate, "You know what's weird about the new series?"

"That Korra is riding a polar bear dog when logically it should be overheating."

I thought he was right at the time...but it's half dog which are able to deal with warm temperatures. Logically it's adaptable. Should've said that to em. Ah well.

I love that clip, kinda scary seeing a pro-bender like Korra(as well as her being the Avatar) just getting OWNED.
