[Webcomic] PVP Discussion

It's not insulting, it's an observation. If I had a twitter, I'd have done it in a heartbeat just to hear the "retcon/stutter"

He hasn't said anything, but this is classic Kurtz:

Q: I assume that humans being able to understand Scratch has something to do with "The Magic of Christmas"?

A: I wouldn't overthink it.

We're geeks and nerds, that's what we do.

I see nothing wrong with that response. PVP isn't a serious story comic--it operates on cartoon logic. Some of the better jokes from the last few years have been weird shit where Scott let go of it being grounded, like Francis's "level up" and the move to Seattle.

I remember hearing the full version of that joke a long time ago, and it makes the scene a lot creepier. For those who don't know it, the joke goes something like this:

A paedophile and a kid are walking through the woods. The kids says, "Mister, I'm scared, these woods are really creepy!" The paedophile goes, "You're scared? I'm the one who has to walk out of here alone!"

I read a little, but kept getting a headache from the overwhelming bs.

Basically, blah, blah, blah, hate syndicate, blah, give us lots of money and I'll say this to your face, blah, blah, no such contract....gave up.

Dont we have this discussion every couple of months, how he rants about the syndicate?
We should expect that and be surprised if he had something good to say for once.

While I'm inclined to agree with Scott on this topic (in content, if not in tenor), I lol'd when he said "we have built a well deserved trust with... the audience."

Well, that's total traffic to GoComics, yes? The ad revenue the contest winner would get would be solely from his page on GoComics; unless they actively advertise the contest winner, s/he's just gonna be a backwater page on GoComics's site.

With 600k per day hits, even a well-placed link or ad would have an effect. That site gets about 9x the daily traffic of pvponline.
